Never

Oh reality,
You may detain my dreams for a while

But

Never will you succeed, prisoners them
To keep!

Star Chiselled Puddles

Break it off a bit
loosen the grip
On my sanity
somewhere in the back
Please detain the pain
let my cries signify
Not the same
un unhappy
Give me a glimpse of free
tell me
i
am
not me

Were Determined To Detain

Were Determined To Detain

We were always determined to detain,
All the water in swamp so it will drain;
Did disappear;
No longer here;
Now none of it no longer does remain.

Jim Horn

Wonder where phrase drain the swamp
came from anyway.

When Impossibilities Happen

Cockroach sat on heap of dung
Cock sat on the cockroach
Fox sat on the cock
Cheetah sat on the fox
Antelope sat on cheetah
King sat on slave-man
Baby came, to sit on king
“Treason, treason, treason”
Arrest, detain, interrogate”
Security guards, shouted loud

More Or Less

Take less, give more
Complain less, thank more
Hate less, love more
Fake less, be real the more .

Break less, mend more
Sick less, fit more
Play less, read more
Fail less, achieve more.

Detain less, retain more
Stain less, honor more
Raze less, build more
Less less, more plus.

Searching For

within my dreams
continuously
searching for you
trying to find a way
back to were we left off
can never fully detain you
you always remain just out of reach
of my grasp
just as suddenly as you appeared
you just as suddenly disappear from sight
gone again
then the pursuit starts all over again
till i wake feeling longing for the past
and for you

Words In Vain

Soul is in darkness in hopes to detain
Heart is in reaction with a chest pain
Nothing is plain and simple, words in vain
Key is thrown away in hopes to maintain
A grain of control, though there is no gain
For the active pursuit is to restrain
The only voice willing to speak again
Not to create rain or a hurricane
Words are not in anyway said in vain
The soul does not exist to be in vain

Kayla

They DETAIN me but I won't COMPLAIN
Time MOVES slow lamented BLUES
Don't CRY for me as I fashioned a SIGH
To FREE my soul to God as he comforts ME
So DEEP are my feelings for those who WEEP
The DEATH of those who breathed their final BREATH
I KNOW my place in life and time will SHOW
To RENDER my service to Him and then SURRENDER

Mayberry Life With Deputy Fife

The life of this Fife was inane
No burglars did Barney detain
     Got locked in the cell
     As crooks bade farewell
Seems God gave him just half a brain

In comedy each plays a part
Aunt Bea cooked and huge was her heart
     Old Otis loved booze
     And Andy could schmooze
But Barney made others look smart

Im Struggling

I'm struggling
Bending and breaking
Like a tree in a hurricane
Trying to hold on
Yet everything seems so mundane

I'm struggling
Trembling and shaking
Like a child in pain
Trying to breathe
Yet air is too hard to gain

I'm struggling
Hurting and wrenching
Like a soul going insane
Trying to break free
Yet normalcy seems hard to detain

I'm struggling
Though I'm still here
Standing tall
And moving on
Relief seems near
After it all

The Waddling Vagrants

The Wellington Harbor vagrants that waddled
Removed from the sushi stand where they coddled
Were heard to say,
"That is okay,"
"For it badly needs to be remodeled"

New Zealand Police Detain Penguins
New Zealand Police on Monday arrested a pair of penguins as they were caught loitering outside a sushi outlet. The birds, described as "waddling vagrants" were held near a Wellington train station as they made their way to a nearby Sushi Bi.

Regarding Laws To Deter, Detain, Deport

kindness is adrift
in our world
seeking refuge
from blindness deafness
the color of skin
race religion language style
equator lands yield darker skin
protected from sun's rays
why must one bow to polar types
with ice-tinted skin
let us skin the Earth
take her pulse
expose her crystal core
for she is HOME
where is the heart
bleeding within -
human blood, an endless river
salty ocean surrounds
a sea of tears
our poor planet
dangling in space

Mystery Painter

A painter sits at work
he paints a bird
but it flies away
A crocodile he draws
it rises up to swallow him
A pretty girl he carves out
indecently she assaults him
A lake he paints on a wall
but it plots to drown him
A soldier he sketches on canvas
it takes a sword to cut him
He bangs tins pours paint
and breaks the brushes in anger!
All he created with paint and brush
emerge from nowhere,
arrest and detain him for life
What a mystery painter
in a mystery world!

Allegretto

No longer shall the earth remain
with wintry rain squalls, spattered snow,
for we shall with the crocus go
from freezing to spring's winsome reign.

Birds entertain us with their song,
they trill and chirp so high, so low,
and fill the skies where'er we go,
their sweet refrains gone for so long.

Nor shall the beavered dams detain
the rippling rivers' allegretto,
they shall flow where they must flow;
no longer shall the earth remain
with wintry rain squalls, spattered snow.

Allegretto

No longer shall the earth remain
with wintry rainsqualls, spattered snow,
for we shall with the crocus go,
the sun shall sing its sweet refrain.

The birds and beasts cannot be wrong
to trill and chirp, so high, so low,
no longer shall the earth remain
with wintry rainsqualls, spattered snow.

Nor shall the beavered dams detain
the streaming rivers' allegretto,
they shall flow where they must flow.
Beasts and birds the sunrise shall sustain,
forever shall the earth remain in brightness.

Fleeing These Halls

In this sweet little pig pen
Walls that once were friends
And bold shields
For lounge room warriors
Now barricade
Detain indefinitely, denying
Beyond them imaginings
For ravenous captives
With restless longing and fears
Choose now the door
Indulgence to ruin, or
Patience to pride
An unforgiving master waits
With bitter destinies to navigate
Seize propitious offerings
Fleeing these halls
To uncertain fate
Courage now, groomed in isolation
Seclusion of rooms
No longer resting places.

My Bird In the Forest

Again at dusk, my bird into the forest slipped
For the vigilant owl leaving behind cozy nest
In the heart of cell to detain the roving crow
To agitate the meditating dove for a needless cry.

Deep down in the dense darkness of Light
My bird in that echo, a way finds
A drop at bay, the sea, end another
Even in mingle nay become the sea.

Hanging boughs and virgin fruits, too far
Like a wish indecent touching my heart
But that too wash’d like a mark on sand
For a man is man and God is God.
