Deja Asked

You're mad, I'm insane
Playing the déjà asked game
You pretend it's new
Dodging the truth word for word
I can't tell until it's heard

Deja Deja Vu

Hours screaming,
futures pleading,
eternity portends
Voices crying,
souls denying
—as darkness comes again

Eyes spy
Feelings start
From the Spirit
Inner Core, Deja vu
No way

Why not
Attached
It can not work
Committments already made
Settled

Deja Vu

You might think this is really hard core
He fell and hit his head on the floor
He had Deja Vu
And amnesia too
He thought have I forgot this before?

Depending on your mind,
Entirely a taste of perception;
Just a bit, double vision
Add to it, maddening familiar

Va va va, Boom!
Uncanny; already happened

Deja Vu

In lives past, a silent rue,
Whispers dance, déjà vu.
Familiar paths, memories accrued,
Time's echo is a mystic brew.
Past and present entwined, anew.

Deja Vu

Every writer from
Yestergone,
Living on,
Soon to come crosses one another finger-path ink of thoughts.
Here & now,
Compositions only read unapproachable.

A Three Hour Tour

Two friends set out to sail the sea,
Huh? They did not ask you or me,
I heard strong winds blew through,
it sounds like deja vu...
now they're drinking coconut tea!

the growth of rain

heaven on its knees, drop by drop
sprinkling like sweat
from our skies' bruised brow,
pouring out the macadam in my scars—
following floods race my tears' deja vu.

Deja Vu

While speaking on the phone
She said
I’m having a Deja vu
Of talking to you and doing laundry
I replied
What kind of Deja vu
She said
Of talking to you and doing laundry

I hope you'll take me seriously

Ask not what 2024 can do for you

Tea For Two

Long Time GrandMa

Look at You!

Been Awhile Since you Bid Adieu

So Glad for this Rendevous

You seem so Happy in your New Milieu

Someday

 I will Join You Too

No importa

Vos me das el corazón y yo lo escucho latir. Yo te doy el mío, y los latidos ni siquiera son de tu interés. Y si en algún momento dejara de sonar, ¿acaso te importaría? La sangre no te deja ver, nunca te deja.

Deja Vu

Like if I'm living in a flashback.
I don't learn.
I get burned.
I will take you back.
Nothing changes but the place and time.
I fall for the lies each time.
I must be dense.
I keep going back for a repeat.

Sadly Mistaken

Across a sea of strangers
an unexpected chill
a tingle reaches for my toes
heart refuses to be still

I don’t know your face
but still a sense of deja vu
I thought I felt your essence
thought for sure it must be you

Sequence of Events

Previously seen in Opium dreams,
These scenes of Deja-Vu
Future reference balance beams
(The Present misconstrued)
In retrospect, I do reflect,
"Did I see the warning signs?"
Time is met with sheer suspect
As Life rewinds the past unkind
Form: Rhyme

Deja Vu

The life I lived was
So exciting that I smiled
Each time something new
Occurred in one of
My days and I remembered
It as if it was

A thing that I had
Gone through before, Déjà vu,
Sometime past, somewhere.

Leaving New Tracks

Born young again myself befriends,
the years all left behind
To wither and die one last goodbye
then bury into time
Born young until myself instilled
as deja vu reminds
Of Autumn snow my heart aglow
—new memory in rhyme

(Dreamsleep: October, 2021)

When jasmine scents the springtime air
A deja vu begins to bloom
 A lovely flower ever near
A memory caught in its perfume
When a summer breeze kisses azure skies
and a certain song begins to play
A deja vu begins to rise
As in the melody you sway

THOUGHTS OF YESTERDAY
BEGAN TODAY
AND FORMULATED AFTER TOMORROW.

MY FUTURE THOUGHTS
ARE NOT QUITE HERE
TILL THEN I HAVE TO BORROW

TRAVELING FASTER
THAN TIME ITSELF
I WAS HERE BEFORE I ARRIVED

SOMETHING KIND OF
SORT OF LIKE
I WAS BORN BEFORE BEING ALIVE
