And was blue Earth, green woods and hills,
Place that is good, animals had a dream:
My dear, remember me and my deer...
the forest
immersed in twilight’s silence . . .

the cool spring morning
welcomes our new visitors
to enjoy the gifts
mother nature has bestowed
making all of us thankful
Don't chase after
Two deer together
You'll lose both as runner
Make goal in inner and fair

Deer are so pretty
As they stand against the snow
And they are graceful
As they leap over fences
To come to the stream and drink

Was said to take deer;
Once caught, he ran away
And tried his hand at writing a play…

deer step through frost smoke
forage, taut skin over ribs
ice falling splashes

Walking along a woodland trail
Startled by the leap of a whitetail
Deer, now gone in a flash
Grace in the blink of an eyelash
time of year~white
silence interrupted....
deer tracks, red droplets

its a taste
that i can't waste
when it hot
we set on the block
and drink
and stink
and look like
a deer
we love cans of
BEER
Form:
the sweet spirited deer
gambol through
the fields so near
yet almost in flight
thus hidden
from the
sweet August light
a tribal totem
power animals honored
cherished spirit guides
bear and little moose
pintail duck deer cardinal
heartfelt ancestry
fly is my new friend
attracted to summer legs
buttercups uplift
clover for bunnies
blossoms tantalize four deer
we feed all comers
newborn deer
life is fragile
it died

Deer stalking,
eyes watching,
spears stabbing,
deer screaming,
flames rising,
deer cooking,
people eating.

grace and gentleness
deep connection to nature
my deer spirit guide
her tranquility
navigates life’s challenges
cultivates my peace
Eating cavier(fifty dollar shrubs)
Walking on lush green lawns(spinach, squash, and english peas)
Sleeping in clover(blackberry orchards)
snow swathed twilight woods
owl’s screech stirs superstition -
the deer hunter shakes

Santa Claus was in a tissy,
At this time of year, he's always busy.
Frantically polishing his big sleigh,
He forgot it was Christmas Day.
There was an old man from Colville
Who lived on top of a tall hill
Surrounded by deer
Who lived in great fear
Of mountain lions so awful
History winking
On the black velvet water,
No voices are heard;
No wolves laughing in the woods,
Just stars on Deer Lake’s black skin.
