Congrats and high fives for your win Andrea! As you create this lovely "pristine" scene of winter your ku is the reality of deer stripping plants clean!! You have such a wonderful imagination that is so observant of all around you!! Blessings!

I've seen deer here on the trails, but never in a snowy landscape such as you've described!

Yes, they do like to munch on so many shrubs. Reads like a good contender in the contest to me. Way to go. Thanks for sharing and for dropping by my page. Sara

Very cute. I love the imagery here! I could practically breathe it in as a resident of the rural parts of Michigan where snow, deer, and bush all meet regularly. Thanks for sharing this piece with us. Glad to be reading your work once more Andrea!

Snow is no longer pristine with a family of deer tracks in there! Just saying!

Excellent haiku, Andrea. Yes, a deer family can also reek havoc with bulbs I planted for spring tulips. Enjoyed this.
