Belated Dawn

What ought to have lapsed
A decade ago sluggishly pops;
Antagonist’s claws now thaw
And give way to buoyant hopes.

Un love
I am
Alone
Crying
No cares
No where
Decade
Sincere
Mis treat
Abused
Un love

Feeble

I
am
lying
on my bed
Struggling with cold
It’s been a couple of days now
As if a decade have passed, but I am so adverse

Premium Member As Empty As the Future

As empty as the future
So is a soaked page
Whose ink has run off.
I hope to be the author;
A new and boundless decade
Awaits my pen's touch.

Blink

In a blink of eye
An year passed or as decade
Made all of my dreams dry
With your compassion to fade
Still illusions or I say expectations were high

The Faded Family

We all seem delayed.
We all dissuade.
We all seem afraid.
We all seem strayed.
And then in a decade,
We all evade.
And then in another decade,
We all fade.

Premium Member A Day Winds Down

A day winds down
  So, too, a week
  a month, a year
  a decade, a century
A career winds down too
  Even a love affair
     and a life...
Where do these things wind up?

Love You Munchkin

I'll love you today
And tomorrow too
Try turning back
And I'll follow you

I’ll love you next year
And perhaps next decade
For you munchkin,
The universe I’ll trade

Mexican worker was not traveling alone
Lived here for a decade, twice

1950

a new decade
we had it made
the warring 40's past
at long long last
the sky was bluer
the world was newer
as a lad of 7
life was heaven
it couldn’t last
the 50's passed

Twenty Twenty Vision

So, we have a New Year
A new decade, new fear
But twenty twenty vision
Has never been less clear
Less known, less full of cheer.
Twenty twenty vision
Is not what it was, I fear.

The Great Eagle Wept

It's been a decade but it seems like yesterday the great eagle wept a world mourned in unison, fleet of souls rose to heaven

Premium Member That Contented Look

she had that contented look
you only see every decade or so

the look of a woman who has gnawed the leg
off of a shrieking tiger

we backed off quickly
and without comment

fearing her next move

I Am a Woman, I Am Loved

I am a woman I am loved

I have never felt so liberated
I have waited

Your love is all I needed
All my hurts ended

A decade of confusion
This is not an illusion

I am a woman
I am loved

Life

Life is short
Who hasn’t said that before
Each decade gets smaller
Time runs away
When we don’t grab it
And hop on
And mold it
Into images from thoughts
a fun-filled passionate life
To live and to die for

Premium Member 50

Years flown so fast
Remembering childhood and adult memories
Until today that I turned Fifty

Starting a new decade, in a new country
Acquiring new knowledge and skills
Trying to be the best version of myself

Planting

If you are planting for a year, plant grain. If you are planting for a decade, plant trees. If you are planting for a century, plant people. If you are planting for an eternity, plant the Word.

Imprisoned

What do the years mean
when they come to an end
their number a prison
if hearts cannot mend

A month or a decade
results but the same
when love is abandoned
—there’s nothing but pain

Blades of Forever

Keep moving,
On and on,
Rotating in motion ,
Each movement,
Tells a time in history,
Each shifting motion,
A decade,
A full rotation,
A millennium,
The blades keep going,
Forever and ever,
Until,
Time forgets.

Premium Member All One At a Time

One second, one minute, one hour, one day,
one week, one month, one year, one decade.
One century is rapidly becoming the average individual's life time.
One life for all of us to live all of the above.
All one at a time.
