Clearly a Civil War, Not Genocide

Genocide
How can we relax?
When machine guns take virginities,
When people are forced from their homes,
Or die,
Where receiving rations is taboo,
Where hope ceases to arrive,
Think of Darfur,
When you lay to sleep....

Action For Darfur
You want to die,
To lie,
Asleep for eternity,
When reality,
Seems like insanity,
Everyone murdered,
Even children,
All you know,
No survivors,
All seems hopeless,
When raped,
When tortured,
When murdered,
The planet promised no more,
Yet your hearts are on the floor,
The future seems grim,
Not a light,
In the blind sight,
Reaction,
Try action,
Give action,
For Darfur....

Stand Up
Go after what you believe in
Fight for all your dreams
Always let your voice be heard
Life’s not always what it seems

Look at the people in Africa
Then look at Darfur
Stand up and help those people
Like I have done before

Believe in your faith
That will carry you far
Stand up for all those in need
But still remember who you are

Some may feel like Superman
Yet some will feel the same
Just keep going, don’t ever stop
Then you’will know you are not to blame...
