Lover Cutter

She cuts, she cries. She writes on her wrists with red ink.
Outside it mists. She's held by her lover, but now she's gone,
and now it is I, who cuts and cries.

Material Determinism

Are we just meat and butter
Dull slabs for the cutter
Do genes contol hiddenly?
Have we no power or free will
What science concludes
Is fed back to it on a loopy chain

The Way.

You were the way.
You promised salvation
You couldn't deliver.
Murder your faux martyrdom,
and cookie cutter family.
You hate me now because I couldn't fit,
But you didn't even try.
Compromise was never an option.
You were the way,
and you left me.
What am I to do now?

Premium Member Operation Anaesthesia

Screaming til my face collapsed, broken arrow’s here called
Dear God she’s so beautiful, a cascading insouciance befalls
Forensics yeah they’ll differ, no doubt say, it was inhumane
I don’t give a fig leaf, as the daisy cutter obliterates my pain

Premium Member Cookie Cutter Comments

All cooki-cutter comments, say the same thing!
But to blind you, they toss God's name in the ring.
Stay away from me, please!
Hang your comment on another poet's tree.
Dishonesty and I are an explosive mix.
Find someone else to lie to, and get your fix!

Cookie Cutter

Driving through the broken, potholed streets Lined with houses spanning decades Each with a thousandfold more character than that of the cookie cutter impostors they call homes I appreciate the creaks and groans Much more than the sheen of granite stones Value comes down to values. What are yours?

Ending

Broke. Blind. Bitter.

so down,

down

Cold. Cringe. Cutter.

bore down,

down

Drift. Dark. Danger.

crawl down,

down

Edge. End. Enter.

kneel down,

down

Fate. Fall. Final.

lay down,

down

Gore. Gasp. Mother!

dark found,

Broken

She's warm to the touch
inside ice.

He broke her heart;
she'll pay the price.

She can't move on
she loves him still.

She tries to hide the pain
by popping pills.

Depend on drugs;
looking for a fix.

See the scars on her arms
and her wrist.

She's a cutter;
blood covered razor

Ask her why?
She'll say he made her.

Attempted Suicide of a Cutter

I can't make sense of this head of mine
I feel hopeless, running out of time

I should've died, my only wish
I just don't understand all of this

why does God want me to live
I'm alone, I have nothing to give

scars of white, tears of red
I can't make sense of this head

cuts break open, mouth gone dry
I don't get it, I should've died.

Premium Member Call Me Captain Humpty Said

humpty dumpty has a book that does not go away
We tried to peek, but he was not ready to play.
He told us to leave, for he was on deck a ship
Battling a storm, the cutter was ready to flip!

Call me captain, old Humpty said.
His cheeks were pink, his nose was red.
Or walk the plank he added in a weird way.
We tiptoed past him on this reading Tuesday.

Equality

Life isn’t fair
Legions lament,
Noting there’s no equal share.

Some have the wealth of dreams.
Some have little to spare,
Fated to fail it seems.

But if life were fair
What makes us unique
Would grant us no reason to care.

We’d be cookie cutter clones
Stamped out in a row.
You could be me, and I you.
This life is fairer than we want to know.

Premium Member If I could love someone

If I could love someone

If I had been love… But the feeling of love would have already turned into distance
It would have put me in another life and made me there. Oh! How good it would be! But no!
This love would have been a fatal and a being-penetrating cutter, a killer sword
A knife, a blade in my heart, and my soul would have been painted red, colored

Premium Member Pitiful Pits

You dig
pit
after
pit
after
pit.
Then wonder why nobody comes around.
The few that tiptoe into your eggshell world
are only there to use you...

In greener years you were just another cutter
graduating to just another pit digger...

Blood or not, I'll not dance in your self-inflicted pits..
I'll just sidestep the "hole" mess and say happy digging.

Cutter Girl

Maybe you'll see how I view my life through my scars..

Feeling alive is what I lacked
A good life is what I needed.
Cutting is what made me feel
Open wounds from a beautiful green and red razor
Slices upon my arm
Came faster than the peel of an orange
I LOVED the effects
Bloody tissue
How ALIVE I felt
Maybe one day you'll see
The person I wanted to be

Dead.

Vision - 4th Place

Fierce vision, as sharp as cutter
One that left my heart to stutter
A glare that left my soul naked
Like I was so rogue and wicked

It looked at me deep to the bone
Trying to tame my heart of stone
It tried to steal my will to thrive
But I won't budge while I'm alive

I Realized

I realized how a gem-cutter turned into a potter
And turned me into beautiful pot to hold my emotions,
realized how a queen turned into a slave
And loved me as i wanted to be,
I realized how sweet essence turned into healer
And healed my wounds of heart which were unrecoverable,
I realized how our last bench conversation turned into love
And made me feel love again.

Wood Cutter

Twigs, branches and climbers
Are cut indiscriminately by a wood cutter
For his domestic use of fuel
Such is he an innocent cruel
Without knowing that some are herbs
Experts, out of them, make life- saving drugs
Once taking it as a worthless pebble
He threw a piece of diamond too
If he does no know the difference among them
What will a piece of diamond or a twig of herb can do?
