Panic
A twisted mesh of brambled wire,

Crudely knotted around my stomach,

My lungs fill with grief,

I cannot breathe...

Of Perception
Perception is that
intricately painted
canvas of reality
which has been
crudely painted over
with our fears
and expectations....

You make simple things
become  crudely entangled;
Knotting up a string;
Strangled thoughts and emotions
constricted to bated breath....

Beyond the Pale
A guard overseeing the king’s jail
Mocked the inmates without fail.
He spoke to them rudely
And treated them crudely.
Now the king has his head in a pail....

No one questions as much
Freedom concept as such.

Nor its value or cost -
Til it is crudely lost.

Once it’s stolen, we pause,
Scrutinizing the cause.

Priceless is freedom’s net,
Let us never forget!

Its elite taste, so sweet,
Relish as a rare treat.

Premium Member THE F---WORD
Seems like certain politicos toss about the f---word thinking they're cute!

Didn't their mommies teach them that real ladies and gents of good repute,

Don't express themselves in public in such a disgraceful manner and so crudely?

"Profanity is the effort of a feeble brain to express itself lewdly!"

On Viewing New Buildings In Washington, D. C.
Man’s lofty hopes once soared in stone.
His architecture sought God’s sky,
In spires uprisen, sprung from earth.

Today, man’s mood is crudely shown
In concrete cubes that smite the eye,
Brute paleoliths of stone-age worth
That future archeologists, amazed, will scan,
And ponder… did ape-like artisans evolve from man?...

Damn Those Boys
Damn those boys, those idiots, who,
with psychedelic lights flashing on blank faces
nurse their drinks, slowly caress glasses,
joke crudely with their friends —
while I yearn.

Damn you, you cowards, who,
refuse to develop contact
who hide in dark corners
who sit on high bar stools
who tear out my heart —
without knowing....

Easy floats breezy
Crudely taints comely

Blindly knows vainly
Moody fakes jazzy

Folly feels jolly
Picky pokes messy

Silly slots pouty
Loudly drums petty

Empty words plenty
Greedy falls madly

Calmly woos happy
Sporty knows sexy

Pretty prompts sweetly
Happy charms wisely

Chatter
I’ll cut this heart right from my chest
To stop its pitter patter,
And give my waking mind a rest
From the endless chatter.

I’ll tear it from this living mass
Of a crudely built design
And bury it beneath the grass
So that the worms may dine.

I’ll walk away and leave it there;
Out of sight and out of mind
To halt its ghastly love affair
For which it was designed....

Premium Member The Nook
he walks aimously about the galleys
calling to a sullen expressional nook
unexplained by raw humor
of the chastisement. of man's bitter hues

crawling beneath a mother's warm hem
he bestows her beauty as
wonder and wrath his rapture chafe
and yet crudely he sighs motionless

to his surrounding's a poshed
good evening awakened
the soundless voice captured
in just one glance...

As Halloween approaches
I wonder if any bold spirits
will venture out to maintain
a long forgotten pagan rite
and if they’ll don a Darth Vader
mask or wear a more sensible
and hygienic tight fitting
mouth and nose covering?

Regardless, there will be a light
in my crudely carved pumpkin
and I’ll wear my mask and
gloves to dole out sweet
nothings to any intrepid
souls who venture
to my door....

Twisted Trigger
The lies have infiltrated,
By way of a single spec of dust.
Now the infamous Monster begins,,
Searches through out every crevice,
It has taken a solid hold.
The appearance of inflammation
turns quickly into a spiteful rage.
Lava like substance begins to,
worm slowly from my eyes and ears.
Though out of my mouth,
The raging lava flows crudely,
With projectile vomiting,
Precisely aiming with purpose.

Premium Member Hieronymus Hippopotamus
Hieronymus the Hippopotamus,
Implied at times that he was xylotomous;
Even claiming to be most gregarious.
Real time though, he loved to be autonomous;
Only decidedly not anonymous;
Not to mention being quite hilarious.
Yet no one found him to be synonymous,
Moreover, with the crudely cantankerous;
Unlikely even to be obstreperous.
Some friends on the Nile found him magnanimous....

Death
It was the moment before death
I drew one last breath
Dreamt of paradise
Then closed my eyes

Creepy is the feeling
When you know
It is the real thing
And you must go

No time to mourn
In a flash you are gone
Life does not warn
And death comes alone

Never taking no for an answer
Killing you in your sleep
Or destroying you with cancer
He doesn’t make a peep

Simple and grotesque
Crudely gentle often
He comes in a mask
Ready with your coffin...
