Flaring Out

Comets cut bedazzling streaks in time
with crescendos and solos divine.
Each meager planet probes with a wince
praying they don't fall within the pinch.

Row upon row
upon row
of caged men
some growl
others mutter
still others silent,
lifeless...
the banging starts
crescendos
the din incredible
is it a jailbreak
who smuggled
freedom in

I Am Done

i am tired
of writing songs
for you

the peak of the
music
crescendos no
longer

the songs are more
mellow
like a common
country song

by janetta

(comment; i love country songs, but they are more open and uncomplicated).

A Poet....

Feels the very pulse of life!
      Hears its crescendos and librettos
          Composes them into words divine
              And, if well-penned....
Touches another soul in eternal time.

Men In Lab Coats

Ivory bushes bear
accelerated evolution
and abstract incarnations
a reverie reserved as veil
fables too blatant to reveal
crescendos rise within
what remains of
the cityscape's heartbeat
science knows what we fear

Flemenco

Bull-black boots
stamping
like beating skin-tight drums
steel capped

with arched hands
clanking castanets
with crimson coronations
like a goldfinch neck

A guitar's fevered fret
crescendos
                 a rite of spring
 kicking dust from bloodied boots

stomps off the romany's yoke

Siren Sing For Me

Too many sailors who have lived to tell,
Her siren song permeates,
day by day it fell.
Luring in ships to crash,
break,
splinter on cliffs,
She masters ethereal crescendos,
opera riffs.

Each day leads boats astray,
the reel of the sea witch,
Nay terror,
her voice pitch rich is much more bewitch.

Lover

I've found a new deliverance from fear and self-control...
It starts with a glance in the morning
It ends with a bite every night

I've found a simple melody to calm a nervous soul...
          It keeps tempo with sighs
          It crescendos with moans

I've found a lover sweet, salvation is my own...

Trailing Snoop's Trot

moaning moon munched
by taunted tongue -
gaunt gloom thrust
felon fate flung -
leered lanky lurch
shunned sassy verge

met tuning tree
crumbling crescendos' spree
porous path's plea

saucy swing strapped
tamed tactic trance
dribbling dark dance

shrewd shaver tossed
trailing snoop's trot.

Premium Member Weapon of Hope

A weapon of hope, she
stands in the breach,
firing her deadly
cannons of calamity
toward the darkness.

Screams pierce the
inky void, rising to
crescendos before
subsiding to whimpers
and finally, silence.

Still the weapon of hope,
she rises, once again
firing her deadly cannons
while behind her they live
free while she stands.

Crescendos Cremating Cruise

vying voluptuous veil
callous crest crave
hoisted zeal healed
tuning taunted creaks
dark dribbles drooled
gaunt gores puked

gullible guts grieved
sassy surges unleashed
crushing cupping creed

lanky limbs seeped'n
fostered felony feats
fuming fiery feet

rusty roar bruised
crescendos cremating cruise.

Neon Euphoria

A golden white sunset

Serenades the canyons

With tasteful symphonies

Crescendos of passion cry

Elevated euphoria

Oblivious be despair

Sharp, yearning hunger

Bellows creamy reveries

Roaring taunting thrills

This tigress teases in spirals

Trickles of sweat lavish us

Rhapsodies deplete us

Eyes glisten odes of desire

Her aroma illuminates the bed

Neon vortex

Premium Member Crescendoes

The glowing light 'pon sparse clouds
Radiates a golden glow
Orange marmalade sun tips the far
horizon and waltzes slow

Light changes slowly to clear bright
The birds' chorus crescendos
Joined by the whirr of a hummer
Mornings sung in tempos

dribbling crescendos fitted
rusty rhythm rusticated

Redemption

Wandering, searching for the wind
An empty vessel, lost adrift.
Steering toward a forgotten shore,
To a place that deals only in absolutes,
Where no storm shall cloud our path.

When we wake from the slumber of darkest night
There is glory in the redemption of dawn
Rising anew to embark on a sacred descent,
As the day crescendos in majestic hues,
Hypnotic, dissolving into the horizon

Premium Member A Tide of Crescendos and Trills

Precision scales of a Bach concerto
relentless tide of crescendos and trills
Waves of emotion engulf my soul
  pianissimo's delicate fingers stroll

Mozart sonatas and waltzes I hear
Grand Ballrooms of Venice once more appear
My heart rejoices in time with the wind
to the strains of Paganini's sweet violin

Alas, passion for the masters is lost today
to an era where Tik-Tok holds sway

Premium Member Back Creek Sounds

Back Creek Sounds
Rhythmic wave crescendos,
Like dynamic static of radios,
Tinkling and gurgling noises,
As liquid over rocks poises,
Ospreys shriek at laughing gulls,
Slapping water on slicing hulls,
Burping diesels add staccatos,
Winds strum mast-stay legatos,
Sails fill or flap by whispered pressure,
Bouys gong in the background with hauture,
As my toes on the sand go crunch,
Shouts my stomach, “Seafood for lunch”.

Summer Song

Summer Song Long and hot is the summer; Crescendos with fear and hate; Songs so sad and so weary, The squirrels are losing weight. I will fill them with music of kindness; Spray with cool waters of hope; Maybe then they’ll be in rhythm again, To laugh at big jays and cope. One day will be that great day When the lion will lie down with the lamb; I’ll hurry that day along Serenading the squirrels where I am.
