A New Girl
Hair like corkscrews,
crazy curly and short,
pulled into two plaits,
begging to be let free.

With her eyes wandering about,
she sprouts a smile on my face,
as she boards the bus,
her bag like a tortoise shell
on her back.

A new girl has come to school,
a new friend; a new enemy;
possibilities are endless......

Bender
Corkscrews in the jugular
and wine sat there in front
of you,
cheese and pickle on the sofa
so far and it's so good.

But then the morning comes
to frisk you
and empty glasses all around you

Forged By Fire

dissolves like ice cubes in blazing sunlight.
Then classic symphonies are syncronized
as a phoenix sets its last spiraled flight
that corkscrews the singing stars...mezermised
when bluebirds are reborn with flames in sight

The blushing beauty doesn’t want to be noticed?
She wears a peacock in her hair...corkscrews,
ringlets, spirals everywhere. Yellow, orange, bluebirds,
hearts exuding happiness. The X’s and O’s
on the lipstick-colored wall exposed.
Her lemon shoulders lift in flirtation.
She’s a punctuation, a flamboyant Mona Lisa.

Put the two gals side by side.
One follows you
but remains in the Louvre crowd.
The other blends in
her pink blush, maxed out.
