copper-colored leaves
mackerel sky*
fall arrives
with quiet grace
copper and silver
copper colored winds
green leaves suddenly silver
sallow ochre shades

late summer storm
copper colored swirls
silver leaves signal whirlwinds ~
ochre flowers sway
platinum cloud ships
race sails full of crystal squalls ~
bronze waves of sunset
sterling sunrise dawns
sunlight shining in white gold ~
steel hued storm escapes

whispering memories of times ago
when days seemed slow to me.
I feel a fugue a solemn mood,
a deep sad cut in the nights copper colored
fabric born on a lazy breeze.
I cannot smile can,t chance the while,
can,t see the where,
only feel that there was more to see,
but then i just forgot.
Forgot to know the where to go,
yes i just forgot.

I walk through the wind and sun on this clear day
Thoughts slide from my mind and easily slip away
A copper colored butterfly, flies by, swooping, dipping
It makes me feel joy inside, like I could carry on skipping
The acorns have fallen onto the pavement of the street
I am careful not to slip on them too, rolling under my feet
--- Days like these are so special to have fun ---
--- In all the beauty that nature has spun ---
