There was a pirate from Limerick

Who had a hook on a wooden stick

He stole with one hand

Now it’s contraband

Sold by a one-eyed Bolshevik...

Row upon row
upon row
of caged men
some growl
others mutter
still others silent,
lifeless...
the banging starts
crescendos
the din incredible
is it a jailbreak
who smuggled
freedom in...

The Quick and the Dead
Some pirates once used, this uncharted land,
To bury their treasure, and contraband.
Now, where x marks that spot,
    On a map, time forgot.
They all lie entombed, submerged in quicksand.

Lawfully Incorrect
the earth is a gossamer old beauty--
;inscrutable; the whole of humanity immobile
paralyzed from sedulous faith; erased.
it's the beast's propensity-- destruction of
capability; silence repudiates language lyrics,
deems sense; contraband....

In a Golden Eye
Do you have to become what you observe
to really understand

To claim a new identity,
your psyche contraband

Must you pass straight through the mirror,
reflections left behind

To truly know what lies beyond
—whose essence you must find

Contraband
Do you play inside the Corn Flakes,
or are corn stalks more you game

Is that Hersey Bar the answer,
or the cocoa or cocaine

Do you clerk for someone’s feelings,
inspiration to be damned

Your legacy an afterthought
—another’s contraband

(Grantham New Hampshire: February, 2017)...

Robin Hood's Merry Band
On yonder strand
In bridled land
A motley band
With vigor fanned
Across hill, lowland
With self righteous brand
Seeking brigand contraband
From each licentious hand
To forthrightly remand
Every highway spanned
Tolls, tribute to demand
Each pilfering cleric did reprimand
Then every bloated collection was
panned
Every royal vestige scanned
Gratuitous coffers to expand...

Time Now To Learn the Lessons
It's time now to learn the lessons

Because we can not all go to heaven

Locked out, yes that's it

So please do get a grip

As we all now need it..

But if you are not yet sick

It's time to

Keep

Staying Fit

So wash your hands of contraband

And I will still keep making plans

To share as we all do care
As after all what is the point of being here?

DAMO xx...

Milk and Hate
In the land of milk honey and hate
The Evangelicals sealed it fate

Demanding its citizens religiosity
Inherent of its edits misogyny

Women second class Taliban
Treated as a form of contraband

The Oligarch fomented dissent
While the peasants paid their rent

The war machine marched along
Its armies played King Kong

It became the land of moral decay
A nation that had lost its way

There was no moral authority
They cheated and groped with impunity...

Cashless
We never used an ATM
In Stockholm, on our trip.
The guide on our free walking tour
Took dollars for a tip.

For every other purchase
We used charge cards like the Swedes,
Since coins and bills, it seems, are things
Today nobody needs.

A sign in a museum
Made the point with quite a splash:
"We accept just who you are but we
Are not accepting cash."

How strange to visit someplace
With no currency in hand.
Perhaps someday all cash will be
Considered contraband....

Queen of Contraban
For: Deputy Anderson / G.C.D.C.

I am a pro, she told me so,

That I’m a sneak, stuff has 2 go.

Said: “I can’t help my knack 2 plan”,

Cuz I am “Queen Of Contraband”.

I try to be a good inmate,

The things I do, R not 4 hate.

I hope she know, I ‘m really not mad,

But being locked up, is so (F’n) sad.

I really try, to follow the rules,

Just that, in my mind, I must make jewels.

It keeps me real, to fool “THE MAN”,

Cuz I am “Queen Of Contraband”....

Premium Member Hippy Dippyvan Brings Cousins
The clan began singing before I saw the hippy dippy van.
It ripped around the mountain, and we heard its ceiling fan.
hollering and the wailing came to our ears with the smacking too.
It was the wild McCorlick Cousins, straight from Kalamazoo!

They are evil and they’re naughty, and they make us all laugh.
We were not surprised at all to see a contraband giraffe.
Their father is crazy, and their mother is beyond coping.
They came tearing down the street. No one here is moping!...
