Across the Atlantic, 
the Concorde did streak,
for thirty years, 
she was the pride of the fleet.
A luxurious, fast flight, 
that only the rich could enjoy,
for the ordinary traveler,
a very expensive toy.

Alas now the Concorde is no more,
as fuel costs, and excessive noise,
finally slammed shut the door.
