Purely Medicinal
An old lady had a sip of gin,
Not conceding it was a sin,
Purely medicinal was her thought,
A second opinion she never sought,
She drank with a medicinal grin....

Moses urged Pharaoh, "Let my people go!"
Pharaoh said, in so many words, "Hell, No!"
   Moses continued pleading
   Pharaoh was not conceding
"Let's talk it over a fresh cup of Joe..."...

Me and P D? Slamming friendly,
so before our "Fans" get into a war,
I am conceding gracefully.

Heart Has Been Bleeding
Heart Has Been Bleeding

Trump gets in way and is always impeding;
He constantly did want us to be conceding;
We must admit;
A dumb dimwit;
Caused all of our hearts to start bleeding.

Wine-Dark
I am cautious
slightly anxious
mildly noxious
truly selfish

Trapped in blandness
so dangerous
unknowingness
I am toxic

With a wine-dark mood
I stifle my laugh
resisting a blush
conceding too much...

Premium Member We Three Cats of Halloween Are
We three cats of Halloween are
Bearing kibble, we travel so far
Yield and mountain, meow and fountain
Following a witch’s star

Oh…. Moon of wonder, circle so bright
Moon with royal Jack-o-lantern light
Eastward leading, still conceding
Guide us to thy perfect sight...

Skies; Yours and Ours
From yours over there
To ours, hereround
What contrariness of sky
Reflects the eye?

And do swifts, I doubt
Swallows, this neat
Weave, of the jovial
What is visual.

Nor while conceding
To a bias
Of summer day pride
No joy-leaps hide

Can be imagined
This placid blows
As untroubled of face
For clouds what grace....

Dark Now
i see you
standing in the cold quiet snow,
watching me through the night
through the dark

I see us
talking together once more
sprites nostalgic for a superior game

I see me
counting now the moments
till this now boring sim
stops

and I can meet you in the room
of remembrance
and bow to you,
conceding a perfect game....

You'Re Ready
I know that you are ready,
I know that you can win,
THe other kids cannot belive,
What awesome shape you're in,
Our training has been difficult,
But you have met the test,
You maybe just a rookie,
But you're out to beat the best,
Competitors are slowing now,
And many are conceding,
It's time they crowned the latest queen,
Of JV cheerleading!...

Premium Member Kicked To the Curb
There she lies, all bruised and bleeding.
She always gets up.
There's no conceding.
She'll never comprehend the reason.
Was it too easy because she was seasoned?
Another's strong emotional reaction kicked her to the curb.
Now she's in traction.
A broken system in the dust.
Whom can one truly trust?
Regardless how cloudy some days seem to be,
the sun will break thru eventually....

A Novel
As I turn the pages forward
I am taken on a journey-
A non-spatial continuum-
Time; a willing time-traveler
Where no luggage is required;
No passengers to contend with;
No special itinerary.
Just a conceding eagerness
To be taken along, alone.
The destination known to one-
Invisible but trustworthy;
The varied characters are him;
Put another way-imagined.
Where I’m taken is foreordained....

Natural Poetic Flow of the Universe
Morning shines
solar gold in the freshness
of the dawn...
Noon, the sun at its high,
caressing the landscape
with igneous joy...
The evening melancholy
brownish red
creates an impasse between nostalgia
and the beauty...
Then night shading
enables the sun hide in an alcove
unrevealed of the heavenly mystery...
No laments are heard, no tiredness...
The sleepless night
receives all phenomena in its arms
 conceding time to remake
its flows......

Premium Member When I Pray
Needing to repent, I humbly bow my head,
pleading to The Keeper of the sand.
Conceding to wisdom higher than I,
reading the Word, I pray to understand.

Feeding on bread and wine's divine power,
heeding to God's command to obey,
leading, the Spirit sustains me daily,
exceeding all expectations when I pray.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
Ephesians 3:20 NKJV

A removal van drove to the white house
They couldn't get in and nor could a mouse
Because Donald had the gall
To build a twenty foot wall
To avoid conceding, he had the nous...

You've broken the law said a high court judge
But still Donald was refusing to budge
It was getting past a joke
So under clouds of thick smoke
A seal team went in to give him a nudge...

Premium Member Patient Love
Time was when love was very near, lying there in waiting.
In dawdling youth I looked away, with heart and head debating.

The mind grew weary after while, conceding heart had won.
The heart extended welcome, but ‘twas found that love had gone.

A love that is not nourished will simply fade away.
Its steadfastness must be cared for and tended every day.

Improvident the lass or lad who holds love carelessly.
It’s rare the love that can endure rejection endlessly.

Beyond the Present
Beyond The Present

In life you’ll come across a lot of struggles
Like any test, will you be troubled
Giving in means you are conceding
Strength, like anything, it needs believing
We don’t leave or forget the past
It shapes us but will perseverance last?
Great things await but vision can be blurry
Seeing the future is difficult and scary
No matter the case, never lose hope
Always resist going down the slope
The future will be joyful and pleasant
But it needs looking beyond the present
