Small investments in life
An unexpected compliment
You look stunning, my dear wife
Her smile the dividend; words well spent
Ever give your man a compliment
and hear a deaf response?
Laud’s louder and sarcastic
the second go around.

Bite Size Poem no21
Turn a simple compliment
And lift up a unsure heart
Release positivity
And lift a heavy spirit
Believe for the good
And receive the best

Assign region flattery gauges?
Silly but let’s try anyway.
The Scottish slather it on.
The Germans withhold it.
It’s Irish blarney.

A while ago
This flower symbolized one-sided love
Which is hopeless
Recently, the red rose
Is a beautiful way
To compliment the smile
Of the one who receives it.
Be Admired By Everyone
There are many things we desired;
By everyone want to be admired;
Where we went,
Receive compliment,
And by others have been inspired.

Mick’s ex-wife in the nude needed some cheer,
she felt fat and ugly and horribly *****;
to Mick she did lament,
“pay me a compliment …”
“Well your eyesight is near perfect my Dear.”
My boss asked me how old I was today.
When I told him I was 60 he said, "No Way!"
"Tomorrow I'm putting you on a lighter work detail," to me he told.
"I had no idea that you were so frigging old."
Guess Who This Was Written For
Coming from you this was a compliment,
Considering great source from where sent;
An award,
Anyone can afford;
Meets demands of ego making me content.

he
smiled
and told me
how i was beautiful
he suffered from cataracts
but nonetheless
he was sweet
in such a
loving
way

Trump Went Not Competent
Where Trump went never obtained consent;
They say he has not ever been competent;
On a big ball;
A know it all;
He could not give or recognize a compliment.

Two-thirty in the morning at my window.
Moonlit dark centiment, I feel windblown.
Convict compliment,
heartless at sundown,
and as the morning comes
the need dies down.
At sunrise all is forgotten

Been accused of being a flirt, that's not my style
When I compliment a waitress along with a smile
No harm, no foul
I'm not on the prowl
Just trying to brighten this fillies day for a while
Been accused of being a flirt, that's not my style
When I compliment a waitress along with a smile
No harm, no foul
I'm not on the prowl
Just trying to brighten this fillies' day for a while
childish and childlike
in no way similar except for spelling
Yet they often get thrown together as similar
by ignoramuses who do not understand
one is a compliment
while the other has a mean connotation.

Taper your senses
Choose a way to plan your path.
Climb your own fences
Crack the ice and then laugh.
Sew the fate of your choice,
Don't turn you into them.
Every person has a voice,
And darling, yours is a gem.

Saying "thank you"
Best compliment
To helping hand.
Admit you're wrong
Is humbleness
Down earth virtue.
Show up on time
Is discipline
Is at its best.
Listen not break
Is self-respect
To whom who talk.
The season's almost over,
and I hate seeing it leave
without a whisper,
complaint or compliment,
while poets
bask in literary sunlight,
thinking the moment is eternal.
April's month of poetry
is soon to end.
Like the dietary suppliment
love takes its compliment
the feelings' growth
heart's strenght
firm
steady
unshaken love
healthy and sound
true love finally found
heart beat, love's so proud.

How come "you're a peach" is a compliment
But "you're bananas" is an insult causing abhorrence
It's fruit discrimination
Causing blood level elevation
Why do we allow “coconuts” such extreme arrogance
Sky our covering
We braced the city square
empty lyrics,
A shadow everywhere
I'm not free
Silhouettes mock awry
colour makes the city walls
Sentences and limb darken
Already compliment
tomorrow's night crouches all
Her fares
Feed my fainting frame.
Her genial gesture
Graces my gut.
Her beauty
Bands my body.
Her care
Clads my clay.
Her spirituality
Spurs my spirit.
Her tender talk
Tickles my thought.
Her conviviality
Is my compliment.
Prepackaged compliment,
our badge of delight
Symbol and emblem,
—deceptively bright
A pandered acknowledgement,
—slap on the back
Others controlling,
the acceptance we lack
