Sitting by this fence...
One side life commence.
to cross wait for whence
an invitation hence;
sitting by this fence...
beeze and sand and salty mist.
I'll commence reading my vacation list.
to the beach I am bound to go.
I hope this day will go prolonged.
Form:
I know
You'd return every winter,
To remind me
Of all the frozen nights.
But,
With the commence of spring And the warmth of wind, I'd be unmoved
Whether you stay or not.
Talebearer
The dawn winks
rolling away
the blinking blackness
welcoming the peeping sun
conveying a million eyes
to all and sundry
as the day
commence his journey
Form:
Solitary blues—commence
Forlorn days thence
As for heart felt abandoned
Sole coldness, I reckoned
Oh heart in lachrymose
how irresistibly it goes
saying adieu is yet so tough, I deem
never reckoned in a dream.

Gods'
Little children shall
Commence as
The birds'... they
Shall fly

* The humble shall reap
At it's beginning

The morning fog obscures, ironic in a sense,
as water particles are likewise in suspense;
muffling all sound, they coalesce in self-defense,
uncertain of their fate when sunshine does commence.

An Awit: 12a:12a:12a:12a
Bundles of lies come to being on first of April
To fool the World by mouth of words or writings
In March they commence packing lies to market
But not in this April
As a truth surfed in air in silence
Taking over the lies of violence!
If religion is seen as
The wire that connects the soul with
The divine
Then
Spirituality is the electricity that
Passes through for the dialogue to
Commence!

Bugles
Calling horses
Some missing riders
The enemy dead beyond
A five hour victory march
In the morning the burials commence
The following day all men to rest
And with the subsequent dawn—to start again

In Response to Poem of the Day
When someone you really will want to convince,
Commence with making much common sense
And I am always willing to bet without regret
Above two lines are surely a short poem couplet

These are not my thoughts,
there is nobody writing this,
yet the mind has legions,
and they roar against crumbling cliffs.
Hold fast to nothing,
a maddened mind will falter,
commence to question
its own voices.

September rains; springs spout, rivers fleetly flow to sea
New memories commence as old ones laggardly fade away
Septembers, one new daughter born; a father buried.

perceptions

commence
the search
for love:
the unseen
the unheard
become
tender readings
of anticipation:
secluded
moments
flower
into
celebrations
of
passion
Sitting under a tree
while it's dark at three
Alone in the rainy storm with this music box
waiting for the sun to shine so opportunity knocks
Cranking the key to commence a soft song
in order to stay strong
Hours pass and the sun comes out
finally gaining the chance to wander about
Shoreward she wafts
faint smile flutters next her lips
wave-enveloped, lurid flesh revealed
enigmatic, wind-whipped ballet...
Ghostly arms, tapering to a scepter-finger
limbs commence, melt into silent surf
cruel lips, melt into silent surf
whisper, "Love me, Disembody, Love me"
Lend me your insight,
your light,
left a yonder breath, done right.
Not a prayer, but wisdom from your eye sight;
let me in to your mind, let me in.
Lend me a piece, lend me a puzzle,
lend me a breath to cease the muzzle;
let me reimagine mother earth,
*The earth reimagined?*
Commence rebirth!

Her short skirt clings.
I consider her thighs to be too thick.
High heels click.
Nevertheless, I watch her walk away.
The thumb and index finger
of one hand commence
to rub together like the legs of a cicada.
She has rhythm.
Thoughts buzz from ear to ear.
My mind is as sticky as flypaper.
Something strange, but stark yet so beautiful…
This mystic universe mothers every damn deed fool,
What role do I choose, to commence my cosmic cruise?
Through my worship, I travel, by union we rule.
(C) Obaidur Rahman. Published in the poet’s debut book of English poetry titled “The Mystic Inferno” in 2012.
I dabbled in darkness
For a glimpse of the light
All that was wrong
I'd mistaken for right
Truth waits in silence
When sought
It is found
Dwell in its glory
And no suffering abounds
Children of the lie
Hear not the righteous cry
Underground they commence
Will you not pray for their recompense?

The sun, now joined in battle, scorches earth;
young, bellicose, brash Sirius draws nigh.
The rains, diminished, scarce sustain new birth,
and so commence the dog days of July.

On that day or night
I will lay myself down
somewhere between
the folding of the light.
Gone will be all thoughts
of metaphoric butterfly or phoenix,
nor any luminous tunnel.
I will not be better or worse
than I am now.
Just this,
mind will commence
to paint itself
with a far finer brush.
Flanders
In the dawn over Flanders
Wounded horses move no more
And dead soldiers look small.
The stillness is fragile beautiful.
Soldiers in dugouts smoke
Eat from cans
Waits for another the fighting
To commence.
God sighs deeply
He had given us a free will
He had been rash
Regrets his frivolities.
Commence the beating of the drum,
Sound the horns with fanfares blaring
Next see the floats with roses come,
Commence the beating of the drum
Acrobats, clowns, bands, then some,
All in the spirit of celebration sharing
Commence the beating of the drum
Sound the horns with fanfares blaring.
