Against blue canvas
Of summer skies, the ball soared.
Laughter mixed with dust.
Silenced by the screaming shell.
They buried you in blankets
Geithner's true motives fall lost
when Congress gets double-crossed
by Fed Ponzi schemes
and banker wet dreams
while countless are getting tossed.
Daddy was a soldier, always had an itch
Down along the bayou, daddy served a hitch
Wouldn’t you know?
He loved Madam Laveau
Guess that makes me a son-of-a-witch
A babbling tongue,
Is like a weapon of mass destruction;
It indiscriminately destroys,
And disables, with harsh words,
Those targets, who to it,
Are of no consequence.
Words left borrowed
heavy on the heart
Actions defaulting
stillborn and dark
Pawning the foundling
orphan on loan
Love unbequested
— dying alone

Euphemisms collateral damage
children died and you smiled
at the flashes of light
bombs make at night
casualties counted
casualties filed
television is making us numb
its sound we march to like a drum

Risk Adverse
Written: by Tom Wright
9-9-2019
Adverse life events,
Often carry crippling effects.
They sometimes reveal themselves,
As collateral damage,
And make casualties of others.
Are we not purported to
be the supposed elders
So why are we
Busy experimenting with
our children's future lives
used as collateral
In order to try and solve our
wounds
A problem we in fact have
created
Her smile masks sorrow
His anger and resentment fester just below the surface
These children are collateral damage
Tears stain their pillows
Tiny voices ask why
I don't have an answer
So I just whisper-hurry and say goodbye
Form:
Strolling through life nice and easy
family love and friends
collateral can be the route to evil
food and love all that`s needed.

Collecting collateral fuzzy Fred said
Keeping the secret of his co-worker Ned
Ned was unconcerned, he paid the money
Fred is missing, reported his live-in Honey
This man has not been found since ‘84
Ned is relieved, he’s not been extorted anymore
Thoughts On War Questions
When is war righteous?
Isn’t murder a crime?
Does not war murder?
Can’t collateral
Death be a crime too?:
War can’t be righteous;
Murder is a crime:-
Wars do have murders,
Collateral deaths
Can be murders also:-
I will pay no more
I declare myself bankrupt
I cannot afford
the interest rates
All collateral is spent
so I must renege
So weary, so tired
of bearing these false burdens
Now I cut the cords
I cast off the load
and lay it before Thy feet
The debt is cancelled...
I stole a garden hid it from flames,
to try and keep just one thing alive;
Collateral carnage of war games,
a single bloom of evolution won't thrive;
Detonation of everything but peace,
so careless is the nature of war;
Decimated there's nothing to seize
save P.T.S.D flooding the drugstore.
Does the devil plant seeds in suicidle minds,or does god intervene when a soul crosses the line, feathers or horns maybe a choice,a halo in hell with such a high price, cleansing clouds or a babtismal of fire, scratching noise or soothing quire,a constant battle to do the right thing, whoever wins I shall crown king.
courage lies in the eye of beholders
but unfriendly fire had blinded her sight
collateral damage in the face of a battle
long lost shrapnel in hollow sockets
visions of compassion dissected by slaughter
thunder of warfare in bullet proof darkness

TEXAS FLOODING WARS
(Apropos Of A Lesson Of Nature)
The flood waters came,
leaving lost lives washed away;
eyes flooded with tears:
Nature herself, warring with
collateral disaster:-
So many children
won’t be thirsty anymore;
flood waters drowned them:-
Let us thirst for quenching peace:
our human nature flooded:-
Welcome, unto the fallout and collateral damage
Is everywhere you turn but no ones going to admit it
Nor shall they take the blame actually; their rat race carries on ?
Chasing down this piece of abominations pink cheese; ***********, bigamy....
Legislation, science, sin sacrifice balancing budgets sub rosa's, consumed as green.
Form:
Being betrothed to anger, a sorry wife,
Inspires words, often verbalized in haste.
Anger pilfers joy, devastating your life,
It seeks soft targets, and lays them waste.
Collateral damage invariably is found,
Even the blameless, have charge to pay.
Slain or injured ego's too oft abound,
Knowingly perished by this bedfellows fray.
One fine day
your face will crumble,
until you hardly recognize it.
The very walls which you live within
may seem to judge you,
everything you have collected
around you
will seem to be just
the collateral damage
of your mind.
Some or all
of those you had once known
will drift away day by day,
unless of course you die before
having had to face this truth.
Millennial Madness
Millennial meltdowns dripping liquid assassins
Hollywood havens dressed in fictitious fashions
Political parasites promiscuous pretenders
Inaugural inquisitions collateral contenders
Suicidal secretions, soups of the day
Tantalizing tyrants, leading the way
Corrosive climates heating the score
Idiocentric inconsistencies waging the war.
Jan.19.2017...^WW^
I was not afraid of legacy
seeking out a collateral
collapse of a fantasy.
Raising the ante?
I was prepared to meet
the unknown in your chest.
What came as a surprise
in a white boat. I will
never know of death.
A pause, a stutter,
sacrificing civility to open
the door of the poor syllables.
The secret will go in?
the grave along with
the famished poet.

True Peace
Miracle Man
3/14/2023
In my thirst for calmness
thoughts usher me to a time,
long since forgotten.
A time when the Golden Rule
was the standard,
And hand shake our bond.
Now, airwaves are polluted
by noxious chatter aimed at all,
leaving collateral damage.
Today, labels bind us,
cancel culture damages us,
But true peace is still found in Jesus.
Our Past Is Unforgiving
Miracle Man
4/23/2023
We squander our time
when we venture into the waste land of life
inhabited by the what-if’s, and if I’d only.
Time is not a granter of mulligans,
so the past is unforgiving.
Mistakes or bad decisions are a part of life,
and leaves collateral damage which affects others.
Any mistakes should be viewed as teaching tools.
creature of the moment…
creature
of the moment—war
devouring life
spitting out
collateral damage
creature
of the moment—peace
kneeling
in a dried blood
riverbed
creature
of the moment—love
nauseated
by hate’s
nauseous breath
creature
of the moment—hope
ripening
in redemptive fields
of resurrection
creature
of the moment—faith
arching
perpetually bending
towards justice
