Resolution Time

I do hereby now resolve
To around new interests revolve.
Away with the old,
Or so you'll be told,
Clear thinking I'll no longer involve.

Clear Thinking

CLEAR THINKING

There was a time, long years ago
When I allowed the beer to flow
My mind was foggy, thoughts impure
So I don't drink beer, I drink Ensure

Memory

Feel each feeling,
Watch clear thinking;
Poise now styling
A memory.

Think now merging,
Prompt feel urging;
Choice now binding
A melody.

Surge of feeling,
Merge with thinking;
Voice now linking
A mystery.

Parodox Not

Proof do you see what I am saying
not just playing with words that would be absurd
to point to a simple truth clear thinking

Sensibility

A duck, is a duck, is a duck.
It’s not supposed to cluck.
A dog does not meow,
Nor moo like a cow,
It’s in its own mold stuck.

A car out of gas
Will not a truck pass.
It purposely remains still
Giving the owner no thrill
It simply will no mileage amass.

Things such as this
Drive clear thinking amiss.
There’s neither rhyme nor reason,
Regardless of the season,
So don’t ever sensibility miss.

Humility and Pride

Humility and pride

1. Humility is the portal to spiritual understanding.

2. Pride is the principal obstruction to spiritual perception.

Intellect should direct us to a higher Being. Prideful thinking does not permit clear thinking; when pride gets in the way, a normally rational being is not able to perceive evidence of God in the cosmos.

Morning Ritual 1

MORNING RITUAL#1:

Dawn comes
Flash of insight
Peace sums
Word craft puts right

Sense truth
Ink stains now trace
Feel proof
Seize vivid space

Lines ooze
Thought syncs feeling
Odd booze
Craft now writing

Thrill cites
Words firm meaning
Fond writes
Touch clear thinking

Verse breeze
Nice and easy
Swift squeeze
Ideas burst free

Sit still
Wait upon fire
Rest will
Cite beyond sire

Into My Lungs the Murky Flows

Finding solace in the shadows,
Eyes burning from the day's glaring glow,

Looking inside for the flickering flame,
searching deep for something without a name,

Lost in darkness, the abyss taunting,
Clear thinking replaced by relentless wanting,

A voice in the distance, a whisper on the wind,
Insanity on the outside a manifestation of within,

Sinking deeper into the mire,
Clawing at the walls, reaching an inch higher,

Arms grow weary, breathing slows,
Into my lungs the murky flows.
