Clear Thinking

CLEAR THINKING

There was a time, long years ago
When I allowed the beer to flow
My mind was foggy, thoughts impure
So I don't drink beer, I drink Ensure

Hi, Darlene! I don't judge or condemn anyone who drinks --- beer or otherwise --- I was just showing how grateful I am for my 37 years of sobriety. I allowed it to take control of my life then realized I needed to quit completely. Now, I am teaching at 4 treatment centers telling others how they too can quit. This is not a nastygram. It is simply an informational response.

Thank you, Gordon! I was accused in a meeting of 'showboating' when I mentioned the number of years and gave God the glory. God's Grace is sufficient for me! I will find another AA Chapter to attend.

Thanks, Line! It's an area of my life that I am not ashamed to admit that it happened, nor am I afraid to voice the sheer joy it brings when I realize it. I teach at 4 substance abuse treatment centers in my area to tell others they can do it too.
