The waves of the lake

The children jumps

On the choppy water
Rain is a lull on choppy afternoons.
Storms are enlightening clarities through fog.
Thunder is the words we say before we go in for the kill.
Lightning is the final blow.
Water is passion, wrath, and chaos.
In many ways, water is us.

Sudden bursts with flares and blinks,
Sirens heard for miles.
Disorderly days,
Choppy waves crash on ones shore,
Some just sit and wave.

Violation eats away

Foreboding storm clouds sail in fast
Gale force winds touch shore
Lighting strikes the choppy waves
Rain begins to pour
The sky turns dark and menacing
Palm trees sway and bend
The howling wind is deafening
We pray this storm will end
Cool gray
Warm tones
Damp sand and speckled stones
Sleepy sky
Lazy haze
Falling into ocean’s gaze
Thunderous roll
A whisper still
Endless water’s blurring thrill
Choppy wind
Cooling skin
Soothing self from within.

We stutter, lisp and clutter
We are not vocal – mute…
We can be choppy, mumble words
Impaired rhythm, be automatic…
Distort our sounds, substitute, omit
Or string together made-up words…
And all impediments forgiven
But God forbid – to tell the Truth!
Clarion calm sea
right before thunder;
A man wave boarding,
teens sit catching rays;
An emerald gleams;
No sweat beading
on my iced drink;
Time moves gently,
I am spellbound;
Waves fly up
choppy, bright;
A storm rise;
The tide’s
moods swing
big.
The ocean above our heads is choppy, cold and everlasting.
It glows
with the crescent, the stars and its nubian beauty.

Since I do not relish spending time
with sails aloft
in Satan's choppy waters.
I will seek to lay anchor,
in the stillness
of God's sheltered cove.
As one who knows
the worth of prayer,
I choose to use each calm day,
in preparation for life's storm
that invariably will follow.
It is a windy day
The sky is bright blue
With some fluffy clouds
A bright sunny day
It is time to go sailing
Sailors are enjoying
The wind pushing them

They will be out all day
