Paradise Awaits

Spirits are summoned
Souls awakened by freedom
Soar to the heavens
The Lord requests your presence
Paradise now awaits you

Broken Heart

.
                                          Everything will be fine
                                             Have you ever loved?
                                                  Where is time?

There was a lady from Montana
Who fell in love with a banana,
Which had such an appeal
She felt urged to reveal
They planned to elope to Havana.

She rented a seaside cabana
Nested between beach and savanna.
At a party she threw
Came a Chiquita new
And the new two flew to Montana.

Wisdom Cries Out

Wisdom
                                                    Cries out
                                               " Come seek me"
                                             From mountain peaks
Longing for a whisper of it's own echo

Beyond the Abyss

The sun shines nigh and ice is pearled,
White clouds rest upon mountain peaks,
In this new and wondrous world
Winters winds gently kiss your cheeks,
Oceans filled with joy and splendid bliss
Gently flow far beyond the abyss

Slow Down

Slow down your moving far too fast
Lead gently and i will follow
Speeding does not erase the past
Do not rush into tomorrow
Unburden the heavy sorrow
We must build our trust again
Aching hearts can become hollow
For now, just let me be your friend

Knowing you is by chance not planned
We've never met but it seems we've known each other all our lives
On poetry soup we fed on the same soup
Even though you're a cook you want my soup to taste the best
Sweet or not you always have good things to say
Now i'm cooking you this soup to show my appreciation
Chiquita Chiamaka Baity, you're a friend indeed.

Indonesian limelight,
Sweltering Catholic skies,
My burden floats with whimpering puppies.
I’m left with twin sisters inside a giant watermelon.
You never read my dreams like I wanted you to.
I never fit into your brain the way you’d like me to.
Now I wait forever under the strange spinning sun clocks,
While some mysterious justice wisps through the banana air,
Leaving me breathless, and pantless, in Tacoma.

She Still Believes

She once swam in seas of belief
Now drowning fast in depths of grief
                                    She still believes in love
She once soared high in truthful skies
Her wings have been clipped by his lies
                                   She will still soar above.

Ignite My Intellect

Infiltrate my mind
Permeate my reason
Make me lose all self-control
Commit lyrical treason

Enter my hidden chambers
Decipher the encryptions on my walls
Manipulate my thoughts
Make my rationality fall

Breach my comprehension
Complicate my conception
Intrude on my insight
Invade my perception

Penetrate my mental
Boldly state your claim
Ignite my intellect
Watch it burst into flames

Time Stood Still

Fear washed over us
Our hearts and time stood still
                                                   Peace had been stolen

                                                     Our souls cried out
                                                    Voices lifted in prayer
                                                     Protect this nation

Premium Member Happy Birthday,Poet Destroyer A

Happy Birthday, Chiquita Bonita, you’re so rare , with your arms up high and a clap, striking the castanets, dancing in tempo striking the floor with flair. You still have your true youth, with a few gray hairs and not a care, but still have the kids. So a bouquet of Yellow Roses for this girl that lives in Texas… and a Happy Birthday before she’s making her getaway…… 10/7/2016

This Too Shall Pass

No shame is too great for his love to wash away.
when joy comes in the morning my sorrows will leave
hope in the unseen is the essence of faith
No shame is too great for his love to wash away.

I will stand on his word and the power of his grace
this too shall pass if only I believe
No shame is too great for his love to wash away.
when joy comes in the morning my sorrows will leave

David

Stance of humble pride and fear’s courageousness
Exposed, yet covered in victory
Clothed yet bare of haughtiness
Bold, bearing all, revealing naught
Humble, hiding all, concealing nothing
Hands stong yet gentle
Hands created for both chaos and calm
Eyes blazing, gazing off into the abyss
 Silently shouting
“Dear LORD, where else must I go,
 who else must i conquer
 to capture your heart?”
