Childhood memories
Woven into wooden floors,
Spirits of the home
Awakened by my footsteps
Dance me to the sounds of old

Lofty mast
Romantic blast
His replica cast
Paper flowers wilt fast
Will childhood memories last
A year and Sunday since he passed

Childhood Memories

We were young sweet boys
playing in forest with dry and fresh wood
no one ever climbed so high
The hero among us, left her beloved ones with zero son

So Precious Recalls

childhood memories
kids life is so much easy
so precious recalls
as the time goes by, marches
"a shame we have to grow up"!

Wind's Nudge

Gust of playful wind
nudged me with flurry of leaves.
Childhood memories
             recollected in my mind
leaving me in state of bliss.

The Other Side of Nowhere

The other side of nowhere

Clear running water.
The other side of nowhere.
In the deep forest.

A place we once played.
Away from the scorching sun.
As children we joyed.

Rainbow
Takes breath away,
It holds your soul hostage,
A heart-felt magical journey
Unicorns, leprechauns, gold pots appear
Childhood memories flood you
Joyful exuberance,
You breathe and smile

Premium Member Some Say Those Were the Days

Childhood memories;
some say those were the days.
But technically everyday we live is still the day;
the day your heart grew three sizes bigger,
the day you laughed as a million presents
got buried in the snow.

Your choice.

The Balcony

It's full of my childhood memories
And those adolescent years...
The Poinciana tree,
All my sorrows and all my fears.
It's the place to be
For long waiting hours,
Those winters with bare branches,
And springs of vermilion flowers...

Premium Member Autumn Drifter

Listen to poem:
meandering
hills and hillocks
the autumn orb
casts its golden glow
across paved paths

the ones less traveled
circumnavigating
childhood memories
borrowed backroads
in the sinews of my heart

A Carousel Ride

Carousels
at amusement parks
are fun
and enjoyable
horses
and possibly other animals
go up and down
but some are still
as the calliope music plays
and the merry-go-round
turns round and round
brings back childhood memories too

This Was Going To Be a Song...

Reinvention is distilled
by tidal waves of fools.
Of distant childhood memories
Of trying to be cool.
Of people pointing out your wrongs
Never what is right.
So you don't know how I feel.
I'm trapped inside this dissapointing world.

Premium Member MY OLD HOMETOWN

   I'm always nostalgic
   to visit my hometown
at least once a year if not more.
   That town is cradling
    my childhood memories
   with care and affection, though
    its morphology is totally changed.

Premium Member Cuddling In Soft Blankets

Cuddling in soft blankets
feeling cherished
adding Vicks
which brings me extra comfort
and childhood memories
I pick up my warm mug
filled with hot chocolate
overshadowed by the large
melted marshmallow
floating all over the top
Life is grand!

Childhood memories

Childhood memories
Of a lazy afternoon
Sprinkling waterfalls
Aside a subdued moon

Candied hearts
Salted pretzel stick
Wild green fields
A football to kick

Bright white shutters
Protected from the heat
Cold stone floors
In a house so neat

Childhood Memories By: Miracle Man 9/28/2024 Clouds seem to fast forward this days sunset, And dimness accentuated our lone street lamp glow. By unfamiliar night noises I soon became beset, and visions of imaginary creatures began to flow.

Reveille

every morning
now it's a recording
of a trumpet that takes
away the silence
for the already
risen to salute
the stripes and stars

even though to this
day another army
base is just a bit
away but even further
childhood memories
still remain but
now in

revelry
