Premium Member A Roadside Scene

Economic curve
Sliding down
Mushroom-like umbrellas
Springing up
Somewhat blocking the street
Drawing crowds
To buy the cheapest
Goods and wares
Without license or tax

Premium Member Sprocket Man

The space race, now racing with rockets

Though cheapest, wore the deepest pockets

I hope that they're hiring

Soon after a firing

Need a job at Spacely Space Sprockets

Premium Member Calculators of the Heart

Generals measure the cost of war in human lives
Soldiers toast its value in the cheapest of dives ...

Their stomachs in knots all night and day
Mothers find war's price too steep to pay

Hidden Secrets

If there’s scars on your heart from the times it’s been broken
Write it down to get it out
Nary a word need be spoken
Cheapest therapy known to man
Burn it up in a metal can
Hidden secrets up in the smoke
Ahhhh! The emotion it evokes

I Don'T Luve You Because I Luve You Too Real

I don't luve you because I luve you too real
I dare not let you know the truth as I will be ill
I will be ill as serious as I am gonna die
Or like I will have to totally lose a deal
That will surely cost me everything
Even cannot make the cheapest will

Most Expensive Thing To Be

What is free?
Was it the chains on my, ancestors feet?
To be free?
If caught was the risk of, getting beat,
Free?
The cheapest word with a, fee,
Free?
There's the lottery then homeless who, never eat,
To Be free?
Does this mean Rosa Parks can, keep her seat?
What is free?
The cost of a dollar i'd never see.

FREE?
The most expensive to be...

Fantastic Plastic

Fantastic plastic
You saviour of all,
From shallow food dishes
To bottles so tall.

Plastic utensils
Forks, spoons, and knives
How could we cope
Without you in our lives.

Never mind the oceans
With islands of bottles,
Never mind the wildlife
You choke and you throttle.

We just churn it out
At incredible speed.
Plastic is cheapest,
It appeals to our greed.

What I Do Best

Rhyming words is what I do best
A blank sheet of paper
To lay my pen to rest

Thinking of various ways
To say what’s on my mind
Needing to be thoughtful
Although sometimes unkind

Emotions and memories
Spill onto the papers edge
Expressing my feelings
Taking a ethical poetic pledge

Releasing some tension
Rage and disappointment too
The cheapest type of therapy
The most powerful I ever knew

Cheap!

(This is a fictional poem)

When I go on a date, I make the girl order the cheapest thing on the menu.
They usually walk out the door before the dates have a chance to continue.
My last date ordered a meal that costed a hundred and ten dollars.
The owner threw me out on my ___ when I started to holler.
The price of an egg McMuffin is about as high as I'm willing to go.
When I ask the girls out a second time, they slap me and say no.

Cookies From Scratch

I like to cook and I love cookies,
So it was off to the store for flour
I bought the cheapest flour I saw
I'll have cookies within the hour!

I made dough just as the recipe said
Who can make cookies? I know I can!
But when I pulled them from the oven
It was one cookie the size of the pan!

I broke off a piece to try it out
It was grainy I thought, "What's the deal?"
When I looked at the flour bag again,
The label clearly said, "White corn meal"

Insincere Game

Was you love insincere game?
Did you play to make your day?
Did you realize yourself?
Satisfied your interest ?

Did you care about your turns?
Was your plan to be so cursed?
What was price you sell yourself?
Simply you did cheapest deal

What for me? I will survive
Even though I want to die
I will live my longest years
To forget your crazy things

What for you? You lost a lot
Never will you find your love
You will spend your longest years
Just pretend to have happiness

The Day I Wrote a Nice Poem

Merry Christmas

Out of date cans of beans, cheapest cuts of meat,
presents bought one can ill afford, but pressure
to give is too strong to resist; beside it is nice to
see a child smile. A packet of cigarettes to uncle
Tom, a silk handkerchief to his wife-she cries a lot-
nicely wrapped in coloured paper. Austerity this
Christmas, so what! Next year´s will be better, we
are sure, even if the economic forecast is dismal,
the Eve will be familiar and cozy as usual.
