One Red Candle
One red candle
burning in a lonely heart
powered by hope...
love...
can cauterize
many open wounds.

Aquamarine
Moments of sadness
Where have you gone?
You never were mine
So self, carry on
Time is a healer
Great wounds cauterize
But scars will reopen
When I think of those eyes...

Doctor's Wishes
I wish I could visit
the vacant crystal palace
of your solitude;
to hover
just one inch
above your body's coma;
to cauterize
the thugs assailing you
to direct
this story's ending
with the end of me....

Planet Blinking Eyes
Intrepid
convalescent
spectacle glass eyes
Coral reef
terminal grief
cauterize
In disguise
skies
Inner planetary bodies blinking their eyes

Spit Fire
You spit fire from fire
as you speak to me.
You pressed your tongue
against your cheek,
and blew white steam.
It filled the room,
it touched my face.
I felt the wound
cauterize and hiss.
It pulled me down
away from air,
and sucked my lungs
flat like plastic....

Love With All My Heart
Love with all my heart
every nuance I have left
'till it stops working
Love with all my heart
broken echoes of lost time
to be upon us
Love with all my heart
half within myself remains
cauterize blood drips
Love with all my heart
and in death I shall forget
to awake your eyes...

The Aurora
Variscite and seraphinite scythes slice the upper spheres with precision,
As their blades rub their rainbow ribbons in the boreal breeze,
Their surgical incisions of incandescent crystals cauterize the carnelian excisions,
Letting breathe once more the solar winds which whistle in its throaty wheeze....

First Light To Keep
The first cut sharp and burning red,
don’t edit away its fire
Keep the wound both fresh and raw,
never cauterize your ire
The horizon breaks just once each day,
a new dawn—cold hearts aspire
Rays burning deep, first light to keep,
—its ashes to inspire
(Villanova Pennsylvania: October, 2016)...

The Mask
Do you synthesize your anger,
do you cauterize the burn
Do you anesthetize the wonder,
as your dreams are drugged and scorned
Is your judgment tempered badly,
with emotion fiery hot
Is your vision colored madly,
by your choices—sold and bought
Does your music play reclusive,
do your words fall off the page
Does ego kill your last excuse
—that mask you can’t explain
(Villanova Pennsylvania: November, 2016)...

Dirty Little Lies
The secrets whispered through my ears
The lies witnessed by my eyes
I hide them all inside
Now no one will ever know
What's behind my smile disguise
Its the things I hide inside
The things that I'll despise
They're darker and stronger daily
Always increasing in their size
They weigh me down
They hold me bound
While I shield their lives
Protecting while I die inside
And eons on, my wounds wont cauterize...

Do you synthesize your anger,
do you cauterize the burn
Do you anesthetize the wonder,
when your dreams are left forlorn
Is your judgment tempered badly,
with emotion fiery hot
Is your vision colored madly,

Does your music play reclusive,
do your words fall off the page
Does reason kill your last excuse,
—that one mask you can’t explain

New Is
New is...New to life
Life is new
New is...Rising sun
Yellow view
New is...Burning eyes
Jell-O fries
Ever housed a homeless man
Jeopardies the jeopardy
Ever is Parody vision dream
Acaroid Jupiter's moon
Eating with paper spoons
Ever is...Energized cauterize portion
New to life
New is...Life is new
Rising sun
New is...Yellow view
All these things of 24th century
New is...Carpet bagging selling trout
This is my way of life

Lunar Inspiration
In drinking star juice,
we internal light the fires within
We taffy twist and tug and spin
the wings of self elation
We bluntly burn each ventricle
and cauterize our lungs until
each tendril of our core is skin invading
And when the juice of stars ignites
we dance the dance and fight the fight
with solar flares to shoot our mouths
to moons yet undiscovered
It's in this moment we depart
and shatter long before we start
to lick elixir from the sky
in lunar inspiration....
