Calico cat sneaks ever so softly
After a creepy spider!
Oops~inside her.

Premium Member Lonely, Calico Cat

Her green eyes aglow,
          Observing soft, falling snow.
          Winds whispered, alas!

Premium Member Ethereal Calico Cat

Ethereal calico cat has eighteen lives
Nine for other felines, but this kind jives
She is mystically, magically surreal,
Surviving much longer; it’s a calico deal.

Pretty Plump

Pretty Plump

Kitty is pretty as well as plump
Into our yard someone did dump
Quite a calico cat for sure
All weather had to endure
Even make happy an old grump.

Premium Member Fluffy Calico Cat

Fluffy calico cat strutted as if she were a male
Flashing about her fantastic signature tail
Cats on both sides of the alley got out of her way
Envious of confidence that grew every day.

Dear calico cat your colors splat,
in oranges and golds and fortified blacks.
A pallet for the eyes to see your rich
fur tapestry..
The sun embraces your royalty.
How glorious is God's gift to thee.

Premium Member Encounter with a Calico Cat

       a calico cat
         and I met
       in my yard today

       it mewed at me
         as if to say

       we’d met before
         in days of yore

       when I was
         much smaller
       and knew how to play

cool calico cat could come and coddle cuddle cautioned Cali’s cousin
Carmen. Campy Cameron coughed curiously, considering this caution
comical. Calico cat commandeered the cabin and café, a considerable
conquest, considering the coolness of Cali, Carmen and Cameron.

noon dandelions
all awash in seas of gold
spring has lately sprung

butterflies and bees
in beauty's residences
happy-go-lucky

joyful greenery
the songbirds are back in town

lolling on a hill
in glossy days of summer
cherishing blue skies

fat bumblebees hum
tunes of sweetness and sunlight
purple rose delight

gurgling brook's laughing
then the fall, and mum's the word
chrysanthemum craze

calico cat frisks
in the mystery of hours
colored by beauty

Girl and a Fat Rat

Love grew between the girl and a fat rat
They married she bore a calico cat
                                        World laughed at them
                                          What a great shame
Calico chased her father rat a tat

Premium Member Calico Cat Titty

Calico cat was curiously itty bitty
She had moved to Iowa from New York City
Taking a liking to her was a dog named Smitty
She was playful and fun, extremely witty

Handsome Mr. Mitty said it is such a pity.
For he also had set his cap on this cat named Titty.
Titty the calico cat penned a wonderful ditty.
About how she was moving back to New York City.

I light another candle, ready to take in the evening sights
There is an ethereal feeling to this December evening.
Sissy, my calico cat settles in next to me, we watch the sun go down
Every sundown is a painting I can never hope to capture on canvas
As the sky turns dark gray, it becomes chillier, but neither of us moves
Welcoming the chill of night air, and spirits arriving in orange orbs

The short haired calico cat
Came through the doggie door
Having no idea Ashley lounged
Inside 'pon the floor
Ashley spied the short haired cat
The cat springing into alert mode
Voila' the chase was on
With lightning speed
They were in flight
Flap, flag the doggie door explodes
Then just a tiny flap
The Chihuahua just loves
A good chase and fight

Who knows what it is??
Ha!! Ha!!

Premium Member Crazy Animal Poem

Belligerent bulldog blows up balloons, bulbous and blue.
Frantic frenzied flamingo flips for a flute and a flu.
Persnickety porcupine prances perilous with pooh,
Concerned calico cat coaxes a cardinal’s carnival coo.
Daredevil dolphin diligently designs dalmatian dog’s hairdo.
Serendipitous skunk sashays toward sticky sweet stew.
Lavishly laborious lion lunges into little linguistic loo.
Youngish yak yells and yips at yellow bellied you.

Premium Member its crazy its wild

She did not like being plain, so she dyed her hair green.
It’s crazy, it’s wild! It makes you seem more like a teen!
These cheers were coming from her excited pets.
A queen cobra of tangerine, orange, and pink named Bets.

A bird with a red headdress and a colorful purple neck.
A calico cat who crept away most nights, and came home a wreck.
“It is so likeable, I may copy your look, said her dog Mag.
She rolled her eyes, as she noticed he was dressed in drag.

Grandmother rocks in rocking chair Her careworn hands at rest in lap Blue eyes bright she seems aware Overcome with sleep taking a nap. Beautiful embroidery lies neglected Gnarled fingers, painful, no longer agile Rainbow silk colours forgotten not selected Advancing years have made her fragile. Ancient love keeps grandmother company On lap faithful companion does gently purr Calico cat the colour of amber honey Rocking chair rocks neither will stir.
