Have you ever
Seen a hippopotamus
Running in cadence,
Alongside an
African, Kenyan man
Oh, what a lovely
River smile
Playwright Wiliam Shakespeare
held rhyme & cadence ,so dear.
Plays in verse were his thing
making our English lingo sing.
Fall Dance
The leaves dance
Across the lawn
At an Autumn pace
Race with the wind
In cadence with time…

Playwright Wiliam Shakespeare
held rhyme & cadence ,so dear.
Plays in verse were his thing
making our English lingo sing.
When sounds of beauty do decay.
Each cadence softly fades away.
Their echoes finally replay.

John Betjeman we hear tell
his collected verse sold so very well
Such poetry is lovely to hear
with true cadence upon our ear
Melody from flute
Unwraps my immersed feelings
Senses touched divine
Innermost emotions surge
Cadence fills the air sublime
Soldiers,
rucksacks in place,
marching, calling cadence:
"Sound off, one two. Sound off, three four."
"Hooah"

A tanka for your thoughts
To carve a mountain
Out of space
A poet’s fate
With a pen as a chisel
The cadence rings in his dreams
Rhyme
to mask the message
Rhythm
to drive it home
Trapping words
in cadence strong
Cutting
to the bone

alone with my thoughts
rain beats against the window

fire spiting at times
the dog settles at my feet

Mud
first sign
of spring thaw
slippery worms
dance with the robins
nestlings calling
the cadence
slow step
squish

Triumphs and defeats bother us no more
These nonevents diminish not bliss beats
Each pore a door, in its own right, our core
Renews cadence of rapture that repeats
My friend
I can't see you in the darkness
but your voice is faint
I reach my hand out
in the direction your cadence emanates
alas
your call is replaced by the wind

I have to stop writing these Limericks
I've must have written at least five or six
It's hard to stop now
I just don't know how
Because the beat and the cadence just sticks
Jaws the movie
duh duh duh duh
duh duh duh duh
the music gives me chills
you know the cadence.
it can never be used again
for another movie
unless it is 2085
then maybe
Candle-lit cravings ooze,
caramelized almonds,
creamy layers of love~
carving midnight spoons in
crisp cadence, coated with
cocoa milk; velvety
clusters of sweet essence.
If,stops,colons comma make sense-
sounds become your cadence
inspired by the words of the duchess in Alice in Wonderland
pleiades
Colors intensify
Cross-hatching achieves depth
Chords support single notes
Cadence provides focus
Charisma opens doors
Credibility counts
Clarity, my life's goal
