Buttercup

I planted flower seeds
on my rabbit's grave
and they never came up.
But today, by the cross,
was a buttercup
and that is all I need.

Reflect now on my chin
The face of my sweet bluebird

When you blew me that kiss, I knew right away it would miss. But a little girl picked it up, as it landed in a buttercup, and said, "I think you were meant to be the recipient of this."

Primrose
Modestly
Presents herself
At a midwinter
Cotillion, opening
Herself to the enchantment
Of warm Spring's coming arrival.

And shy Buttercup, to come join the dance.

BUTTERCUP

Buttercup wears a cheerful bonnet;
 Five yellow petals of sunshine on it;
Always smiling - sunlight in yellow -
 Leaves us joyful, yet quite mellow;
This meadow child in brightest of hues
 Winks at us through morning dews.

And he's swapping my pollen for fleas.

Premium Member Pucker Up Buttercup

Pucker up Buttercup a voice said as he exited dreamland
He saw the creature’s full red lips and his heart beat overtime
As his sleepy hazel eyes began to see easier in the dark
A goat’s head appeared behind those enormous red lips
What a way to wake up on a Tuesday
