I planted flower seeds
on my rabbit's grave
and they never came up.
But today, by the cross,
was a buttercup
and that is all I need.
Buttercup wax
and chickadee sticks
and flowers of bumblebee skin.
Thin little grasshopper
fiddles askew
in the wonderful forest within.

their bright birthday sundresses
midst buttercup fields

Meadow buttercup -
you sun-sipping glory!
Small cup for large smiles.
Shine on little wonder,
enlighten every lover's eye.
Missy buttercup
with baby fingers
like cotton snowflakes
each one separate
“love me love me nots”
from dazzling daisies

Mom captured my truth,
As a sixties flower child,
Yet in bloom of youth!
The above sketch was, of course, done by my late mother when I was a teenager.
A single drop of dew
caught in a buttercup
Provides a welcoming d

to Ladybugs Dormouse

corn marigold

a wilow that weeps
and meadow-sweet,deep
in a forgotten pasture.
wind flower buttercup created by goddess Aphrodite
in blueish violet, white, pink, red, or yellow
growing wild, or as a hybrid, you are a beauty
Anemone, “daughter of the wind”
you are my brazen buttercup
for you, little wee frogs will jump up!
a new spring has sprung
as you look into the sun,
and await your best friend, Miss Tulip!
Listen to poem:
An opera of canaries wanes in,
An alphasphere buttercup hall, curtain,
Rises as a lavender stage prepares,
For a star-studded performance appears.

ding-dong swaying
the chimes playing
it’s stuck, it’s sunk
time’s up
for buttercup

Peanut butter, jelly, bread

Triples you recognize
Gold, frankincense, myrrh
His, him, her
Bubbles, Blossom, Buttercup
All my threes are now used up
What a pretty fairy
So beautiful close up
A golden ray of sunshine
In a little buttercup
Dreams of yellow curtains
Blowing in the breeze
One thing is for certain
I could love you with such ease
Buttercup beautiful
Reflect now on my chin
The face of my sweet bluebird
Let her image there sink in
Then travel through my body
Course within my veins
Reach my heart and live there
Forever to remain
When you blew me that kiss,
I knew right away it would miss.
But a little girl picked it up,
as it landed in a buttercup,
and said, "I think you were meant to be the recipient of this."
Buttercup Busybody’s behaviors burst beyond belief
Big, buxom, busty, she gave her dour daddy grief
Hosted Hamburger Harry’s Hoedown which featured beef
Eloped with Eddie Eardale, giving her parents some relief.
Sleep well my little angel
May all your dreams be sweet
I love you much bright buttercup
That last line I repeat
I love you much bright buttercup
I really, really do
No matter what may happen
That always will be true

Presents herself
At a midwinter
Cotillion, opening
Herself to the enchantment
Of warm Spring's coming arrival.
She calls sisters: Daffodil, Tulip
And shy Buttercup, to come join the dance.

BUTTERCUP
Buttercup wears a cheerful bonnet;
Five yellow petals of sunshine on it;
Always smiling - sunlight in yellow -
Leaves us joyful, yet quite mellow;
This meadow child in brightest of hues
Winks at us through morning dews.
I am Buttercup, swaying in breeze
Ah Ah Choo! Something's making me sneeze.
Just hold on...now I see
It's that darn Busy Bee
And he's swapping my pollen for fleas.
for 'Are you Bugged'...and in response to James Fraser's 'Pollen Calling'
persian buttercup a sunset rose without thorns doubling sheer beauty
Pucker up Buttercup a voice said as he exited dreamland
He saw the creature’s full red lips and his heart beat overtime
As his sleepy hazel eyes began to see easier in the dark
A goat’s head appeared behind those enormous red lips
What a way to wake up on a Tuesday
