Fall Away

it falls away
never built to last
one hangs on
while the other fasts
the words dry up
and disappear
soon, it hasn't been weeks
it's been years

Built to last
The train rolls by
So close little clutter rattles
The walls seem to bow
Oh but what was I saying
Damn it’s gone beginning to end
To be remade anew
Oh fish tell me true

A
Firm
Stable
Foundation
A gale can't blow down
Its the type of stability
Two people in love could ever hope for or attain
A definitive blueprint which to create a perfect union; a love built to last

Masonry is a good occupation.
Stone makes for a solid foundation.
It's a hard job with great demands.
Thank God for a strong pair of hands.
A good job is not always done fast.
However, stone is strong and built to last

Speaking Through Mirror

Take a trip into my mind
Threading every vine
Years took part
Creating this art
Shine it must
Gain to adjust
A voyage to see
As precious as every leaf
Speaking through mirror
Moments familiar
Every craft
Built to last
Layered by heart
A fresh new start
Positive adventure
Painting with kisses of nature

Premium Member Love Song

You came
into my life
like a fireball
bursting through
the realms
of reality
when it was
least expected.
Your patience,
understanding fostered
a relationship
built to last.
Eventually love
took over
with your
warm caress, kisses,
hugs and tenderness
that fostered
dreams into actuality
where happiness
bloomed on
the horizon.

Grief

Somber season in the wind;
hearts once broken, now must mend.
Floating softly, creeping passed;
another season, it won't last.

Sacred symbols glisten fine,
falling gently in a line.
Heated shadows of the day,
moving lifeless, no delay.

Daybreak looming, night moves fast.
One way ticket, built to last.
Flying, circling overhead;
wings and feathers for the dead.

The Perfect Wife

Listen to poem:
Make her easy to handle and well upholstererd.
With an option to update to a newer model .
Classic lines with that touch of class.
A sporting body but built to last.
Looks really good when clad in leather.
But cheap to run and low maintence .
Pleasing to the eye and starts first time.
And definitely no voice controls.
These are the specs of the perfect wife.

Burnt

Burnt wood, carved deep
Adrift in seas, the essence of sleep

blades bleed, cuts seep
create mysteries

the glass is in a fractured age
is vast finalize run

Around a forgotten sun
Of burnt wood n ash

I am lost in objects of art or form.
Like stone built to last

Burnt wood
broken glass

All are cast
All is encompassing

Burnt at last
Some things persist in memory

of memories
in a forgotten history

Shards

you glance back at what you created
the tower taller and nearer
it shines in the sun and glows in the dark
it’s where the fire began with a spark

you whistle a tune and some come running
smiling their smiles and dancing to your tune
but I do neither and turn my back
picking up speed and tightening the slack

you call for me, but I can’t hear
a white noise hums inside my head
what was true and built to last
shatters like many shards of glass

Room For Love

My love so sweet, singing high, gentle to your ear,
Tunes whistle softly, lifting spirits, no fear,
Your gaze crossing the room shining brightly like stars,
Heart beats strong, like speeding planets surrounding Mars,
Oh my darling, lusting, our eyes they meet alas,
If to be together this life we share and pass,
Our love forever, dreams shall cast
Our love immense and built to last
For you my love will never lie
For you alone until we die.

Break

I close my eyes to hide from yours
And wish it all away
To go back and close the opened doors
And remove what I did say

That would be the better way
The path I did not choose
For in the end I always pick
The one that I will lose

And even though I think about
An altering of the past
I know the good he's given me
Is something built to last

So reason will not steer the course
I'll break myself to gain
Because through torture comes once more
The pleasure laced with pain.

Love Is Blind

To a hurtful hand
To the sadistic mind
For it has nothing to hide
It seeks to only to bind

It truly doesn’t see
It’s to big to deep to care
It has nothing to loose
It gives of itself and still grows

Love is truly free
It costs no monetary fee
Only growth and prosperity
It's truth and liberty

Love is blind to fault
To any wrong message sent
It is a deep trust
A hope built to last

Love is a union
Attracting every person
Known and unknown to join
This universal lesson
