Ghost

A ghost tried to scare people off
But they gave him the big brush-off
He cried his heart out
And started to sprout
Then suddenly he took off

Better Days Ahead

strong
to carry on
it a heavy load
that the price
for our gold
wake up
brush off the dust

Horn Kitty Limerick Number Four

Horn Kitty Limerick Number Four

Kitty never did fret or fume
Liked going from room to room
While all of us trying to find
And who he had left behind
Gave us brush off with a broom.

Like a China Doll

It’s official I’m like a China doll,
Put me on a shelf till you decide
To brush off the dust to be with me,
I know in time I’ll be forgotten,
With every passing day with cob
Webs, and piles of dust and never
Resting, cause you see China dolls
Don’t shut their eyes to sleep, they
Wait..

A SILLY DAY!

Did the ocean try to dry its splashy face?
Did mountains brush off dusty, grassy trace?
Did the ground hide softly from the rainy days?
Did the wind play statue at morning's crystal maze?
Did planets wear funny costumes, just in case?
Let your own glory glitter, like fireflies' wobbly space!

Brushing My Teeth

Brushing My Teeth

Haven been told when brushing my teeth,
Is like water that flows through a reef;
Up and down,
And all around;
Would wipe brush off with a long leaf.

Now my mother will leave me alone and
stop asking me if I have brushed my teeth.

Screen Obsessed Teens

Screen Obsessed Teens
Finding home in cold dark screens.
Show support, send a like,
Post another, cry all night.
Yet another insecurity.
Take a jab at another's purity.
Swallow a pill, lose some weight;
You feel so heavy the scale could break.
Strive for beauty and perfection.
Pretend to brush off society's rejection.

Brush Off

I see
Your fall
Instead of
Picking up
I brush you off
But allow
To take
A try
Again.

I see
Your mistakes
Instead of
Correcting
I let you
To find
Your own way
Though silently
I drink
Poisonous pain

I see you cry
Instead of
Wiping out
I let you
To shed tears
To wash
The dart
Accumulated
Long
Inside
To see
The things
Clean and afresh.

Flies

I've watched you brush off flies for years
Sometimes allowing them to linger and feed off your sweetness
Sometimes swatting them into splattered spots

I am happy to be your butterfly as you tell me, though I fear I will just be another fly.

You keep my wings painted, and I will keep the vomit off my hands

This love that keeps the flowers blooming

Bug Collector

Brush off your ant bites.
Blind eye the hornets sting.

Gone so long with ways of violence.
Creatures having done nothing wrong.

But it’s fine “they aren’t important”.
Legs or wings or hair you just can’t bare.

Squash and flush because no voice.
If it spoke would you still fear?

Darling child with bugs in jars,
May your care linger on and on my dear.

Being a Bee

Listen to poem:
To be a bee

is not to be becoming
as pollen dust
defies the brush off.

is not to be becalmed
as the buzzer is never silent,
never switched to off.

is not be idle
as bees are frightfully busy
all of the time.

is not to be solitary,
as hives where bees live,
always swarm with bees.

Bees are never asked
'to be or not to be' questions
about being bees.

Shake Our Heads No

L-et's shake our heads no,
O-nce we are lured by the devil;
R-efrain from being tempted,
S-tay in our sacred
S-kill.

C-ome shake our heads no,
E-arly fourteenth of December;
L-isten not to fascinating talk
E-nchanting us to surrender.
S-ee the light of the truth,
T-urn a blind eye to faith's foe;
I-t's best to brush off the doubt,
A-nd shake our heads
N-o.

Bitter Temptations

Something that I cannot resist something that is on my mind I want to have I feel that I got to have it.

Even though it is not good for me but I crave for it this feeling is killing me inside it is burning me up.

I feel like if I do not give in it will hurt me inside but the whole thing is all this does is make me stronger.

I hope that I can brush off this bitter temptation and move on.

Someone's Future

Hope for the future?
A future of what?
A life of wealth
Or wiping a butt?

The choices we make
always meant to mold.
Should we conform
or choose to be bold?

Is there a point?
Is there a purpose?
Should we grab a joint?
Or walk away from fuss?

Worthless banter never works
Leaves drama all around.
Best to brush off
Never leave a sound.

The pain we have is only what we carry to the end.

Smitten

Cheshire cat atop her throne
Leaving not to all alone
Mice long gone in fear of fight
Be still the home at rest tonight

In maker's bed aloft of pine
Beauty waits in satin fine
Soft rays dance upon her hide
Along side hope the loving bride

Rest not weary eyes once shed
In grace of dainty heros bred
Succumb to whispers sent away
Rise up strong another day

Brush off the blue strung so tight
Brave the wonders in peeked light

Just Thinking

I am lyrical by nature
It is my god given gift
So i share it with the world in hopes to uplift
Through pain and through suffering, through good and
through bad, through the times i am happy and the times
i am sad.
But through all i have accomplished i stand tall through it
all, learn to brush off the dirt, get back up when i fall.
Take the punches life throws as i bob and i weave
Counter punch when its needed and learn to take heed.
