Exuberance bobs, bops and bounces
on a trampoline of joyous elation.
Its riff a catchy refrain
that sticks in the brain,
prods and pokes receptive minds 
into action and reaction.
Like a buoy rocking on waves,
to and fro,
up and down,
side to side,
Just can't sit still,
all aflame and glowing, 
sparking with joyous jubilation....

And I placed it on the sill
And every time it dances
Well, I get a little thrill.

Its head bops back and then bops forth;
The leaves flap up and down.
Just giving it a glance can make
A smile from any frown.

A little joy is all it takes
To brighten up my mood.
My tulip thus deserves from me
A nod of gratitude....

Knock Knock, tick tocks the clock,
post traumatic syndrome head trauma shock.
Glock Glock, click pop weapon stock,
three dimensional residential sniper kill shot on lock.

Hippity Hop, bee bop the music stops,
scattered brats panic attack, raiding cops.
Ding Dong, ping pong ball bounce bops,
sad sadistic, unrealistic, urban firearm goes pop, pop, pop!...

Playing on the radio
Hearing the bass 
Grooving some more
Stomping on the floor 
To the pulsating rhythm 
And cadence streaming 
To the flowing, fluttering 
Oscillating, palpitating 
Rhyme ripples
That are shaking 
Pounding and quaking  
Bopping side by side
With the beeps and bops
Ticking to the vibrations
Of holy beat ecstasy
Into the dark night of the soul...

crest ripples in bops
river whirling late noon dance
frothy scent invites

charm drenches river
sprinkling mountain with kisses
dusk romance for two
