Earthly Blankets
Meadows covered in lilac lilly's;
Daisies entertain the grasslands.

he used to steal
all the blankets -
TV remote in hand
I sprawl across
the empty spot on the bed
like blankets you wrap
me up in your arms so tight
embracing my soul
warming me with your kisses
darling, never let me go
each night
she rolls up
in her sheets and blankets
into a cocoon
turning
into a butterfly
at sunrise
after a latte
sometimes it gets really damp
in our minds
our thoughts shivering
under the wet blankets
of devastatingly languid
reality.
The sun is a little cold,
after the stupendous gale...
I decide I'll arrange blankets
of clouds for him...!
Sunlight filtering
on moss dampness that blankets
the silent forest.

I suddenly remembered my mother
the last time I saw her
she was kicking off her blankets
cancer was killing her
her legs were sticks
windmill proud erect
between blankets of tulips
beauty laid for miles
arial view seen
like stripes across a flag
eye candy to reap
Bedding posts
Linen looms
American dreams
Nested inside
Knitted sheets
Eyelit lace
Threads of silk
Showers heard

Love flows as summer winds blow
drift along on current's breeze ...
Downy flakes rescue memories
in quilted blankets' reveries
sound of rain falling
through long January night-
under warm blankets
face in the mirror
reflects yet another year-
the teapot steaming
Winds last night
So strong and
Raining so hard
Lost power
But we got through
Thank God for the generator
And blankets on the bed
Over you
Against blue canvas
Of summer skies, the ball soared.
Laughter mixed with dust.
Silenced by the screaming shell.
They buried you in blankets

Nature blankets my lone dreams
Swallowing me whole

For Mr. Moreno's Haiku contest
Thunder breaks Silence
as rain blankets the green fields
Earth drinks the bounty
the Bamboo bends with the wind
...swaying, but it does not break.
Bedtime Delicasies
Soft, warm, big pillows.
Flannel sheets, sherpa blankets,
Warm cat, at my feet.

Exotic feathers efficacious in the wind
resembling rainbows
Oceanic views ,blankets of crystalline skies
breathtaking visions

beneath some blankets
in my grandmother's' old trunk
a silver mirror
keeping the secrets of youth
my face reflecting her past
winter's foliage
blankets trees and grassy knolls
water runs amidst
