Belt Out Poems
Out more poems again, I did belt;
Done painlessly without any welt;
Opened folder,
And grew older;
Much emotion in poems was felt.

Knew a lad from the boonies
Could really belt out sad toonies
The ladies did cry
Big tears in their eyes
Farting out loud like Mickey Rooney
A portly old man from Spain,
Let his belt out to relieve the strain,
But his pants button exploded
Like a missile unloaded
So far that it brought down rain.
Once knew a lad from the boonies
Could really belt out some sad tunies
Made Elly May cry
Big tears from her eyes
Could also fart in tune with big boomies

Baseball will be back on the scene once more
For a 162 games, I'll watch all the scores
I root for the Blue Jays
My two arms I raise
As they belt out homers, and the crowd it does roar
Encouraged by the masses
is mediocrity,
like when someone at a bar
sings bad karaoke.
As they belt out notes off key,
we might give guffaws.
Drunken with good will, though,
we offer up applause.

I sit here and I ponder
Scratch my head and wonder
Should I send a Souper mail
Or refrain to bite my nail ?
I don't know everyone
to belt out, "Hi My Friend",
Your comments signed, " LUV"
and then you're back again!
So "Thank You" one and all
for anything said or not
It's time for me to go,
And add Soup to the pot!
Think you're all so KQQL Judy
Oh how lovely are the flowers songs;
Roses singing soprano while tulips belt out baritone notes; chiming songs is their greatest joy.
Bluebells and daisies chime in tenor as,
day lilies and buttercups provide verse in alto.
Now that you know what they do with their time,
listen with ear and heart. You’ll hear them;
it’s similar to angels singing.
intelligence diverge upon starlight
shrouded in extrubiant relight
candles melter in resplendent swelter
i belt out a belting belter
wax drip drop drips on burned lips
swinging out swingsets from smashed and cracked hips
meow woof howl
digging in the sky with a trowel

Blues
Blues in a sky of blue
billow from lonesome grooves
Brother your lone harp weeps
Bandage my wounds soul deep
Belt out that heartache please
Bring me down to my knees
beside these Christmas blues

Can it really be June?
How’d it get here so soon?
I’m not ready to belt out
A summertime tune.
Days are long enough now
And I just don’t know how
I can fill them with all that
Restrictions allow.
Still, most folks won’t agree
Thinking summer will be
Back to how it once was
Living life Covid-free.
But my coming-out’s slow
And there’s one thing I know
That before we blink twice,
June will pick up and go.
It’s fun to perform,
Being up on a stage,
To see if the audience
You might engage.
To banter your dialogue,
Belt out your song
And hope that you’ve carried
The watchers along.
To soak up their smiles
And hear their applause
Affirms you’ve succeeded,
Despite a few flaws.
For just a short time,
All that limelight is yours.
Your spirits are dancing;
Your confidence soars.
You wrap up those feelings
Like some gorgeous gift,
To open and savor
When you need a lift.
