Love Roots Strong
Roses protray beauty, or death.
Our love protrays no rose. Love
lives on; deep in root! Without
bells, nor whistles.

The craziest gadget, widget, gizmo contraption.
Gave me immediate happiness and satisfaction.
I love this machine I told anyone who would listen.
It is sparkly with bells and whistles and it does glisten....

Premium Member A Warm Fuzzy
Light & fluffy at your service
With bells and whistles too
Bringing sunshine and warmth
To help blow away those blues

No doom & gloom in this one
Just illumination & light
No negatives or worries
About worldly plights

Just fun and silliness
And a warm fuzzy sent your way
Cuddles and kindness galore
To perhaps help brighten your day!...

Yes Indeed
When we made love
I heard bells and whistles

Fireworks no
But missiles!

Our kisses started
A five alarm fire
And we never tired

The sun shined everyday
And we earned our pay

We worked on our love 24-7

We lived on earth
Yet in heaven

We dissipated clouds
With a smile

We even stopped the rain
For a while

I know
Love conquers all...

A Fairy Tale Prince
As a woman
I live in fairy tale land
I need a man who understands

That I need bells and whistles
Just like men need missiles

I like kisses and hugs
And plenty of love

Fancy clothes and perfumes
Big houses with large rooms

Books that inspire me
Compliments and chivalry

Protect and respect
Is my motto

I’ll follow

The man who will follow my dreams...

bells

                  loud, silvery

   announcing, resounding, warning

chime, tintinnabulation, referee, shriek

      piercing, summoning, whirring

                    shrill, tiny

                     whistles

Premium Member The Three Question Round
The bells and whistles went off
Announcing the "three question end of the game show" round.
The opportunity for the losing person to maybe catch up.
Just give me a picasecond please the studio host said
Is that less than a millisecond? the contender asked.
Oh, yes, even less than a microsecond, replied the host.
And a nanosecond?
Yes. Two questions gone. What is your final question?...

Holding Out Hope
Holding out for hope leaving out the door
searching high and low tearing past grey
latching on to all the bells and whistles
left hanging out again in the pouring rain

With winds flowing through my speck of being
thoughts sit in waiting to fly across the sea
waves of promise rise up and shine for me
as notes adored walk bravely upon the shore

Watching pretty daisies on a clouded day
Surrounded with love, I think I'll stay...

Premium Member Suddenly
one moment she was dancing

to applause of chakra colours

bells and whistles at full blast

fading as the moon took over

muted abruptly to a screech

eclipsed she sought refuge

in thoughts and memories

reverberations of a future yet untold

unfolding feelings and emotions

and insurmountable sadness

nevertheless

but all but for more

she knew

nothing was permanent

as she embraced

what would be...

Her Fault
Across the circus ground
Where bells and whistles sound,
You took a coin and spent
It at the gypsy’s tent.

She spun you in a spell
Of ecstasy and hell,
And charged you some more gold
To have your doom foretold.

She offered you the use
Of stars for an excuse
To blame both years all gone
And yet to happen, on.

From womb to burial vault,
It’s all the gypsy’s fault,
Yet when she comes once more,
You’ll run to her tent door....

Premium Member Vagabond Romance
romance of a Roma waggon
tinkering around the world
dreams of blissful freedom
no possessions nothing to lose
bells and whistles violin music
horses with intricate saddles
gallivanting on free reins
crackling camp fires

before you unsettle
look around you
scapegoating and othering
xenophobic attacks
even a tramp under a bridge
has less ill repute
at least a German born hobo

last caveat
visit the museum
at Auschwitz Birkenau
