I held a Soup contest then fudged it.
Didn't think I'd really go judge it.
Then the months went by and by
while my hand played in my fly.
How soon the poets did begrudge it!
He tilts his head
watching me approach,
knowing full well
that he is master
of the attack on my
strawberries…no use
fighting about it..he
just waits and hops
along the fence. I give in
with a certain pleasure, and
do not begrudge him
his share..

She came in the winter.
My Tiger shared of his food.
He did not begrudge her eating.
My Tiger cat is good.
This spring she bore a set of kits.
There are exactly four.
Tiger watches as his feed
Is dwindling more and more.
We must go to the store.
For 50 word contest
Oh, my dear, 'tis plain to see
That you lack Humility
Why must you whine o'er rugged rhymes,
That ill-affect your poetry?
Helping hands are hither slapped,
At a mere suggestion
In thine self, bruised ego wrapped
When thy work is questioned!
Begrudge, me not, the better Poet:
I was right, and both we know it!

To each his own,
they always say.
To each his own,
is the only way.
So tell me why,
they always stray
from those very words
they so often say.
Do they really care,
or is it just unfair?
Judge not lest yea be judged!
They care not
for they begrudge.
Do as I say not as I do.
Oh, these words are
so very true.
Life is a game,
you see.
The object,
to keep your
SANITY.

We embark on a new journey,
Let our travels never end,
Keep us heading in the same direction,
Though the track may sometimes bend,
Let happiness be our destination,
Let our trademark be a smile,
Let us enjoy every footstep,
Not begrudge a single mile,
Let us revel in new discoveries,
Greet each fresh dawn with pleasure,
Let us find our inner-wealth and know ...
The true meaning of treasure.

be they spiritual, molecular or imaginary

When all else fails make some fudge,
Which they will not begrudge,
Even if it leaves a smudge.
From my chocolate fudge they will not budge,
My daughter makes a Russian fudge
That disappears before it makes the fridge.
When the children were 4 and had a grudge,
I made some fudge,
And let them be the judge,
Now my eldest daughter at 27 will not budge,
Until I make some fudge,
Something I never begrudge.
How I begrudge the eyes of all these men:
To whom the balcony has pledge in time,
An envy which befits this grasping vine
Whilst shaking its temptation joining them.
The far betweens of having found it hard
To cut it down in turn eludes this love,
That I, cannot indeed be before you guard
Whose arm is severed less from you above.
Then let it be, that new vines do exist
While futures' looking bright, I shall persist.
Hate me slate me or berate me
call me names it's all the same I don't care
to my mind it's no more than
hogwash simply put just hot air
the proclivities of others
I don't judge
and their predilections
I won't begrudge
I live and let live
as I too do have mine
but tresspass on my territory
there's where I draw the line
tho' non-violent
step on my toes
and believe you will receive
a black eye or bloody nose
Always, a change of plans
Interrupts my tranquil course –
Set forth by circumstances
It appears, for the worse.
I resent it, I begrudge –
It chips away at my mind –
Finally, I'm forced to oblige
And surrender my time
But once by hushed words –
I learned of a blessing:
What seemed a dreadful recourse
Placed me in a better setting.
That's why when the Thief flees
You shouldn't be too upset
For the Divine may be
Watching out for your interest.
The world's abuzz with soccer
Though I couldn't give a hoot.
I wouldn't even have a clue
For which team I should root.
The bars are packed with rousing fans;
I don't begrudge their cheers,
But I prefer a tennis match
To savor with my beers.
I'd also watch the Yankees play
'Cause baseball's what I know,
Though baseball-haters claim the game's
Inordinately slow.
So while the teams do battle
With the World Cup as the prize,
I'll find a book or other show
To occupy my eyes.
