So, What's Your Kind?
Bear in mind that there are those who are truly kind.
Bear also in mind that there are those that are most unkind.
But one thing I did find - in all of humankind,
Is that there is at least ONE of every kind.
Clear your mind of doubts and fears
Wash away your pain with tears
Troubled thoughts can stir up sadness
Wrap your heart with utter gladness
As you embark on a difficult test
Bear in mind always that you are blessed
The path seems wobbly along the way
Just hold on to God, you’ll get through the day
I have my life to lead
My own precious life
If it’s my life,
Then you should know
Am the owner
The morning breakfast
The midday lunch
The night dinner
Concerns nobody
Co’s I am the owner
The owner of my life
Is really me,
Understand and bear in mind
My destiny, my life
Am the owner.
I am a collector of worthless things
How they pile up I have no inkling
I clean out my junk drawer at two o’clock
It is crammed full of extra things by two fifteen.

It's upon these moments-
that I bear in mind, a thought;
the walls of my mind are echoing-
and I know not, which thought they've sought.
If this is me,
then I must not remember what me feels like.
Love should never simply suffice-
it's for this, that we pay the repetitive price;
night after night-
we have sought for that which felt right,
and in love-again-lost our sight;
hung on an idea of perfection, perhaps too tight.
A soft wind lifts the curtains.
light spills across the wooden floor.
dust spirals in lazy circles
and the quiet hum of the house
feels like a gentle heartbeat.
I step outside
the earth smells of wet grass and stone.
a bird’s song cuts through the stillness
small, specific, lively
and i bear in mind I belong here.
The sun melts my skin
the world extended, slow and planned
shadows bend and bow
a leaf meanders, holding the gleam
and i am awake, completely.
Oh, for meek and mild,
to seek the child inside and hold his hand
Help him not be shy
and not to cry and say you understand
Not all men must fight
or pen with might to frighten fools away
Now and then what’s right
can bend the light to shine another way
You must bear in mind
and care to find the path that walks within
Strength is yours to know
and yours to show that yes, the mouse can win
Your freedom of choice, to rejoice.
Come here, my dear, and have no fear.
You got in gear, with no veneer,
I'm drawn to your magnetic voice.
It's clear, you're music in my ear.
My best intentions are noble,
inclined t'wards the climate I find.
Some warming could turn them global,
bear in mind that I am not blind.
Meanwhile, hands remain immobile;
my kind heart awaits, intertwined.
