Into the badlands I must flee
escaping those who wish me ill.
Good judgement failed me, now I see,
into the badlands I must flee.
O wretched hand, such villainy
in one rash act that haunts me still -
into the badlands I must flee
escaping those who wish me ill.

The Badlands Cowboy
The wild stallion's whinny echos across the harsh, dry canyons,
The sun dries the lands, leaving only cacti,
But the cowboy, strong and proud sits on his mighty stallion,
The king of the Badlands,
The coyote whimper as he passes,
The snakes slither away at his step,
All bow to him,
King of the Badlands....

Bird of the Badlands Who is a Russell? And what can he be? A Crow, a Grackle, or Brewer's like me. Is he a Raven, a Warbler, or Dat? All the same color, but don't wear a hat. I'm a Mocking Bird, however take care. The things that I say, can fly through the air. By Josehf Lloyd Murchison

The Social Network
Go into the Badlands.

Get your private screening.
See how the universe works.

Have a double dose of psych.
Bath in its sea of love,
Smell the enemy within.
The dark tower.
The soul surfer.

In your warrior's way,
Embrace the den of thieves.

You'll feel pretty.

Now, get out of my room
Big city greens.
Anywhere but here,
Repo man....

Black tarantula walks the badland.
So alone, perhaps he's lonely--
it's hard for me to comprehend.
Black tarantula walks the badland.
I'll follow him to journey's end
carrying water and camera only.
Black tarantula walks the badland
so alone... perhaps he's lonely.

Abduction
grabbed by your firm hands
then felt your soft hair
and briefly, the windowsill
and going down, down

into a dark grotto
badlands of memories
so much rainfall
without even a sky

I pushed up the steel cover
to take deep breaths
return to submerged
a toothpick embedded
in purple gelatin

love stained the floor of my life
it was spreading outward
take a sponge
make love a perfect trapezoid...

Lesson From the Badlands
A hilltop covered in yellow and green
Reveals secrets long unseen
A quiet stillness pierces the air
As nature makes clear that she is still there

A barren landscape, or so it seems
Void of grass or lakes or streams
Yet if you listen carefully for the sounds
Soon you'll find that life abounds

Upon us did nature this treasure bequeath
A constant reminder to look just beneath
And that if we don't train our eyes
The world's splendors will be hidden in plain disguise...

Into the Badlands

Into dark realms where death’s delusions ride
Strides the victorious warrior of charity
Grace and solitude in wilderness here abide!

Into dark realms where death’s delusions ride
Torrents of grace wake flowers in reply –
Blooms in wastelands of sand – life to guide!

Into dark realms where death’s delusions ride
Strides the victorious warrior of charity

Cowboys In the Badlands
Cowboys in the badlands
They ride their horses coming from everywhere.
To the badlands, they do ride.
They come from cattlemen and farmers and gunmen.
Ready to make a name for them self
Either by robbing a bank or killing someone for revenge.
These cowboys in the badlands.
All are gone now, but a few not as bad as the once were.
Have they all gone to a new land to make a new name of a place in beyond?
A new bad land these cowboys do come riding their horses and carrying a gun....
