7-5-76
Calm downy the wind stepped,
Halved yet was the Moon,
Rain lacily traced mid-distant,
Sunset rays interacted
While gliding forms silhouette backdrops
As ideas place the play....

The head of a gargoyle
rests in one hand
the scent of olive oil
aloft in the wind
While elves make mischief
in sweatshops subterranean
guilt storms man's conscience
'gainst backdrops Notre Damian...

Reflections From My Window (Miami To Los Angelles 2001)
Passing through towns
Backdrops in blue
Lonely times
Engulf my thoughts
Welcoming back you.
Suns pierce so clear
through these brilliant days
Breeze like boys
Run dancing,
Through girls
Like trees that sway
I often wonder
What you're thinking
Do you share such times as these?
Do you stop
But for a moment
only to think about me?...

I do not know?
An Observation
On wooden bench and fresh mulch
Rattles the keys of life
By freckled mammals
Grazing asphalt pastures
Aimlessly… missing
The rumble of ocean pastel backdrops
Voice of winds
Caressing ears and cheek alike
Golden heat rays pour
Reflective images of stars
Whilst blades of yellow
Brown or green
Stand still
And nature sways
Lay
...

When Did I See You Last
Where did I see you Last
David J Walker
Not in the gardens low and lush
Naked under tender branches of
Backdrops fauna
Not in the highways of outstretched
Light streaming down on
Our tonight from the
Distant stars
No, not there
I would have seen you in the dream
Of a dream
Softly singing the songs of a
Servants heart in
Prayers for my safe return...

Trails Blazing
A celestial season in the sky
sun's rays pierce clouds on high
Trails blazing, magenta-tint orange
Mikado performance, amplified
by peeks at the bluest backdrops
framing majestic sundrops ...
when suddenly, to my dismay
bright colors fade ~ all is gray

Isn'T It a Pity?
We take the mornings, soft
to the graveyard,
where dew lines the hedgerows
in duplicate pearls.
Patchwork backdrops and figures
lend a faint recognition;
these are my only memories
of my only love.
Meanwhile heroes bleed
for glory and riches-
to the death,
in books I haven’t read.
And as if
without a hundredth part of pity,
ours is a nightmare
too close to home....

Babbling 'Bout Bubbles
Coloured and in cascades, there's foam on the falls,
Elliptical dome shaped..almost perfect circles are recalled
Haven of childhood and sanctuary gained, ephemeral beauty
its existance proclaims, against backdrops on dewdrops in
rain on the leaves, bubbles are forming in torrents and streams
in my bathtub they a'wait me..under billows of steam..!

Prisimed
prisimed
your blues seep through
delicate cracks
developed
by time and hue
a brush
technicolor of triumph
and failure
splashed and spotted
in a weighted night
of stars
falling down
backdrops
of tomorrow
it's all not black and white
true or untrue
love filters
dust and all
a departed dance
silhouettes in the stillness
clashed
where sepia warms her chill...

Center Stage
I rehearsed the lines to be the center of your stage
I knew every line by heart
I knew the lyrics to every score
that the orchestra would have played
I knew the backdrops for every scene
the costumes to be worn
I knew my cues, and yours too
as I waited at your stage-door
I knew I was the understudy
when I tried out for the part
still I waited in the wings
with my arias to sing
on a curtain that never rises...

Solitude 2
Solitude-2
On the backdrops of mango trees
Paddy fields stretches beyond horizon,
Last rays of sunset when touches the branch of a river,
Over there sat on the varendah,
I watch the thatched house of my village
As if submerged, in darkness, the wave imperials!
Ever I narrated this part of solitude?
Everything when appeared as nothing!
From dust to sky, you hear a sole rhythm!
Solitude has spread her wings, here and beyond!...

March Promises
Dogwood trees are now in bloom,
jots of color in winter's gloom,
white and plum and palest pink,
against gray backdrops, out of sync.
How I love the month of March!
Like silk opposed to winter's starch.
Robins bounce across the grass,
a sign, for sure, that winter's passed.
The winds of March soon sweep away
all that's dull and brown and gray.
A child of March, I feel reborn,
as Spring flies in, on Marchwind's-borne.

Other Side of Reflection
Where the sunlight will stop
Beneath the teal waters
I only see reflection
From under my dripping roof
Spinning through the currents
I fill my lungs with foreign habitat
Concealed in my cocoon of corals
Safe from a predator
Just trying to make a living
Further to drop
Through clear backdrops
To the next stage if being
Down and down
Deep in the black
Conciousness will pass
Without a second glance
I sink in the mystics
And hide from the shores...
