Old Uncle Jack while sampling the fine cooking of his still,
Was knocked out cold by the cast iron skillet of Aunt Jill.
My aunt Joan was a madcap
And she sat down on my lap
When I creaked
She was freaked
Honored me with slime and slap
she had a flair, a savoir faire
sophistication in the air
she was chic, sleek and lovable too
a perfect lady, my fine aunt Sue
Awesome
Unique
Nice
Talented
Glorious
Loving
Adventurer
Dedicated
Youthful
Sentimental

There is my sweet Aunt Mabel
sitting across the table
ever since her divorce
she eats like a horse
so we put her up in a stable
slowly, so slowly
she has become frail, fragile,
but her spirit shines...
vibrancy, vim and vigor
still burst with lustrous life-force
Friends said their marriage would not last
Now fifty-years have slowly passed
Hand-in-hand
Gland-in-gland
The two of them have had a blast!
Aunt unilateral, naughtily tempting,
Unintentionally naughty toyboys attracting,
Nicely tantalizes ardent uniting,
Teleporting aloft, usurping NASA!
Man, that's Aunt Allie Murphy,
Yeah, ironing board surfing.
See the look on her face,
And She's hooked a great wave.
Pearls with curls then a slurpee
I miss your laugh.
I wish I could bring you back.
It's not the same without you here.
I miss you so very much.
My words could never be eough.

Never
lingered in hole
always she pursued hope
She was a conqueror in life
Sometime...

stealthy Aunt Caren
a text from favorite niece
cat sharpening claws
with nail file
keep an eye on Mom
not to worry dear
she is in my sights
unaware of course
Irritating Ivan liked to irk and vex
Especially irritating our Great Aunt Hex
Ignore him said her husband, laid-back uncle Dex
Not knowing that Ivan was Aunt Hex’s ex
Willy the wannabee Wallaby went
To visit his sweet, sick aunt Millicent
He met a dingo who said,
Don’t look for Millie in bed,
Relish her in my belly with free rent!
an oddball aunt and her quirky niece
were known for their joyous caprice
without saying why
they’d soar into the sky
traveling happily south with the geese

My special aunt loved
life in the open country-
city bus made runs to town.
I loved to visit
we would cook, laugh and dress up-
then take city bus to town.
A man who missed his late Aunt Petula
sought a clairvoyant up in Missoula
When she sensed his Aunt Anne
he hopped a plane to Japan
for he owed her a whole lot of moolah

sweet little one
so tiny
dear
and
precious
a sleeping beauty
a mother’s pride
in premium exclusivity
a ticking mystery
the single aunt’s enigma

Christmas Tree Boy waved a star on a stick
Said “abra ca dabra” in a brogue that was thick
Danced the holiday dance around the tree.
He was incredibly silly said my weird Aunt, Aunt Vee.
My drunken old aunty’s in jail,
She murdered a man for his ale,
And although she is bad,
I suppose she is mad
She isn’t allowed out on bail.

(Purely fictional)
Warmest childhood memories of
my favourite aunt's country kitchen
with her homemade sourdough bread
and fresh clover honey gathered
from her very own bee hives

in the worst shape ever
my great Aunt Heather
usually under the weather
good thoughts? Never.
Resigned to gloom forever.
no joy and not clever.
Focuses on bad news and weather.
I am sorry for Aunt Heather.
An Italian once courted my Aunt
Who was bitten by ants in his pants
So he screamed, "Mama Mia!"
"I got the gonorrhea!"
That's when he learned the frying pan dance!
Timothy I. Brumley
Although unsteady was dear Aunt Ann’s gait
She struck a yogic pose for a portrait
On an ironing table
Her legends are now fable
Before her name, we prefix title ‘Late’
