science
is all fact,
without assumptions-
the myth with a long pedigree.

Lazy Assumptions

Its always there.
And no doubting
Turmoil-spanning, will ever be.
As firm, in bridge
Heart, Love bolsters.
Walked all over; too casually.
Form: Rhyme

Premium Member Too Frank

Frank was outspoken, direct.
His assumptions were not always correct.
His sentences, brief,
Causing some people grief.
His opinions were hard to accept.
Form: Limerick

Premium Member Make No Such Mistake

Never mistake your intuition as mere assumptions.
Never mistake the truth of something as your mere conclusions.
Never mistake your own doubts about something as mere concern.

Premium Member Getting To Nothing

It seems that

It is all about

Getting to nothing..

No-thing..

It is "recognition"

Of not-two

Frustrating all

Assumptions of

Separation and of

This story as

Already nothing...

Assumptions

Don't trust your feelings,
Sometimes they lie,
Disguising the truth,
Rebuke your pride,
Seeing the enemy,
An ego collides,
Believing a reality,
A thought,
A lie,
Disguised by feelings,
A storm inside.

Assumptions

The start of something?
I’d like to think so;
Just being friends is fine with me.
And although I feel a bit awkward
And don’t know what to do,
I take comfort in the fact that
You’re a little bit awkward too

Premium Member Listen and Learn About Each Other

misunderstandings are often rampant
hasty assumptions can be notoriously incorrect
learning to actively listen is the unity challenge
caring enough to empathize and learn
changes things in incredibly wonderful ways

Premium Member Stories are empty as they are told

Separation

Is inherent in

All words..

Words telling

Stories may

Seem to stand

On solid

Assumptions of

Separation..

But whether or

Not such standing

Appears..a story

Is empty as it

Is told...
Form:

Life Is

Brutal, and of that foremost
For those assumptions
Neverending had placed them
Midst play's attractions.

Belittling, and of that first
For each young heart's own
On love, career, praised through each
Would always be shown.

Triangle of death
UFOs- maybe reptiles of space ?
    Unexplained powers

    A story well told
    Questionable assumptions
    Who knows the answer ?

Premium Member We See Things As We Are

We see things as we are
Not as other people or things are
We see things according to
Our prejudices
Our assumptions
Our ideas
Our background
Our experiences
How else could we possibly see them?
The only schemata we have is based on our life.

The Pyrotechnic Poet

the pyrotechnic poet explodes in staccato bursts of precise persephonifications punctuated by poignant phylacteries felicitously filleting egregiously erroneous assumptions accepted by the masses intently exercising freedom from thought

Vindication

Many a confession is more than a sin injurious
For you may seek to a harm alleviate
Mumble for words and make assumptions erroneous
Yet do sink it and quagmire aggravate

So never torpedo an apology with an excuse
Destitute of exploits, your atonement is of no use.

Question of Balance

Silence may well have
            the measure of the abysses,
            the noise can be the
           resonance of wars...
           however life for welfare
           of herself, it will be
           the balance between
          these two assumptions... !

Misunderstood

I don’t even know if I know the real me,
Isolation, invalidation, a life going unseen
I’ve always felt this way,
invisible I guess
Automatic assumptions -
of my intellect
Like rumors spreading, from ear to ear
Never caught by surprise,
but always masked by fear
Form: Persona

Premium Member Veiling

Veiling

We live our lives
Each day with assumptions
That the "out there"
Reveals what we need to know..
This is the assumption of centuries..
It comes as a surprise
When we are told that
"Out there" actually veils the
Reality which when recognized
Will bring us Peace...

Premium Member Jumble

I strive to solve life's jumble,
Sometimes, I win, at times loose,
I risk and make assumptions,
Puzzles of life have no rules.
