Living On the Edge of Excitement

Once a habitual fellow
(who eats his oats from a bowl colored yellow)
(every day)
(it’s his way)
(He thinks of himself, “very mellow”)

while reading his poetry stew
(the words of fine folks he knew)
got all fired
up. Inspired!
and ate his oats from a bowl colored blue

The Game

The dating site all fired up
the red light on the door ajar
the neon light on the lap dancing bar
It beckons you inside
the ladies of the night
Don't want to know the time
or even know your name
The internet page checks your age
and just asks you payment details
you put them on then watch the cloths come off
sex for sale sex on show
but what most people need is just a hug.
