Yells “exactly!” as I dose off, awaking me, irks just a smidgen
A telephone rings
At Druid Heights.
Nobody is home.
“If you already get this message,
‘Ego in a bag of skin,’
Hang up the phone.
For all others ‘tis the wrong number.”
The person at the other end of the line
Talking to their boss:
“Bag, ego, skin
Are ONE
or many…
whatever!”
He lied
He’d died!
Alan Abel faked his death and an obituary was published in the New York Times on 2nd January 1980, On January 3, 1980, he held a press conference and said "reports of my demise have been grossly exaggerated".

There was a time, when we sought comprehension
These days, power and media aim for control, commercialization
