Airbrushed

So thin,
with perfect hair
and flawless skin.

Arms and thighs
are just
the right size.

No lumps, rolls,
dimples
or moles.

This has to be
a fake image
I see.

this balmy meadow

      airbrushed in Renoir orange

welcomes first autumn

      through grace of marmalade leaves

          ...cuddling Sabbath’s peace

Amber skyline
Drapes midnight’s ceiling

Tints of luster fade
Airbrushed with mist

Wafts gently twirl
In a slow dance
To warm earth’s repose

A Bubble

In a bubble
A big
glass bubble

Inside
breath fills
outside empties

People preplayed
movies
Clouds airbrushed
stilled in motion
Pigions in
motionless flight

I am looking for
a crack
A way in
A way out

Painted Words Heard

My mind glides to stroke a color...
My hands speak in a rhyming flutter...

But my lips scream in artistic tongue...
Splashing vibrant shades of words unsung...

Left with painted chords and airbrushed words...
My soul is showcased and finally heard...

long, the shadows with morning dew

          herringbone clouds like gossamer lace

airbrushed above on the blazing blue

blooming as morn on your angel face

sunrise enchanter with skin, unleaven

tenderly daubed with a kiss ... of heaven.

When varnished leaves quake overhead And jasmines in their airbrushed red, Match the whippoorwill as it sings Our notes flit on through elder wings-- Into duskfall , an ardor's rite Through October’s final delight: We watch autumn cast her paints high Till stars wane from love's lullaby. ```` Free Verse Or Rhyme Poetry In Its Beauty Eve Roper's Contest 04.11.2019 Pic # 3 Revised

Left Over Visions

I see all the things that have come and gone...
Left with visions of half smiles that saw their way on...

Sand castles of ideas slowly pulled to the ground...
Disolving into yesterday with just a small sound...

A portrait of me with airbrushed tears on a old smile...
That has outlined wrinkles that came and stayed a while...

In this pile of thoughts there is always a face I can never see...
But when it draws closer, it's clear that it's always me...

Beneath strands of citrine dangling in the sky arms glitter on a Moulin Rouge display, neon bulbs flirt with the Arc spinning high its rich tableu, like pastel from Monet. And streets float on floods of traffic yellow unleashing a thousand monarchs on flames, scenting an evening airbrushed by Van Gogh as figures grind on roulette of oiled frames. - Paris night , after 9 pm...a few years back Third place

Perfect You

Perfect You

Little girl
Beautiful little girl
Why do you let others decide for you
How you should look
What body you should have
They do not know you
They have never seen you
The ones you look at
They are not real
They are airbrushed
They are made of plastic
You are the real girl
True to nature
Your hair may not be right
There may be a couple extra pounds
Don’t listen to magazines, TV or movies
Just remember
You are the way you should be
You are the perfect you
