Orange

this balmy meadow

      airbrushed in Renoir orange

welcomes first autumn

      through grace of marmalade leaves

          ...cuddling Sabbath’s peace

Congratulations, Nette. A lovely rendition of tanka - the tableau sets the scene, beautifully illustrating why tanka is worlds apart from haiku which excludes modifiers.

Much more "orangier" than my attempt... the marmalade leaves description was my favorite... most creative!
