Surrender

And in the twilight we meet
All the pains we retreat
Against all odds down that street
Let us accept our defeat

Love is not ours to keep

Win Or Lose

I lose when I don’t play and I win out, when against all odds I play.

Set Me Free

Against life's cold and sore sorrow
?Committed to the sea of a darting angst
?Albeit frail and with no strength to borrow
?A sail is set against all odds to liberty

Premium Member The Brave

Brave is the one who, against all odds, over his enemies prevails

But

Braver is he who succeeds in subduing his passions that his heart impels.

I am Sadness

Against all odds I set out on love quest
Torn dirty clothes, a pair of worn-out shoes
Teary eyes, a broken heart in my chest,
This hurt never heals, that salve never soothes
Woe is me, for I am undone at best.

A Pure Heart

Pro~vail power, and it's ability abandoment.
Trust Faith in judgement appointed A full
                       sub~mission.
An absolute purity, against all odds:
Is A humbled heart, who takes pride
to restore..... It's beauty!

Find The Best In You

Pose the best you
Dress the best fit

Big Win Doesn'T Come Overnight

M-aking a sweet success
I-s a goal you want to reach;
A-pril eighteenth Tuesday, waves go ashore in the beach.

O-f the fight with all your might;
M-ove on against all odds,
B-ig win doesn't come
O-vernight.

Double Tanka Re: Malcolm X

a. Perspective of Malcolm X

in the ghettos
like the reservations
white man builds
a separation of skins
hearts and minds

b. My Perspective

Malcolm Little born
to roll uphill
against all odds
a boy transmogrifies

In a Mile

Moses saw light on a tree
Pharaoh was on a killing spree
Moses had to stand against all odds
Pharaoh claimed to be the best of gods
Moses did it all for the faith
Pharaoh did it all for arrogance
Moses fought and went walking through the Nile
Pharaoh followed and drowned in a mile.

Premium Member The Lake I Run

Slits of sunlight dappling the lake I run.
Even dragonflies buzz about with importance.
Against all odds, I'm against all the odds.

Glistening listening to love laps.
Lush rushes of hot air.
And wet lips with slips and rips and ripples,
So sleepy on a summer day.
So nice for you and me to stay.

Seed of Love

Tiny seeds germinate
Fresh roots sprout
New life is born!
The weeds come for free
As every beautiful rose
Has it's thorns!
Growing tall, against all odds
Growing towards the light
Laying our roots deep
Staying strong, yet flexible
We are a tree of life
Or the seed in the ground
We are 'one' of the same!

Premium Member RAINY DAYS

Really it should be days of rain, but
Against all odds the sun will shine again,
It’s as if the weather forecaster
Nicely tries to cheer me up,
Yet the rain still comes down.

Depression loves the gloom
Any joy is quickly drowned,
Yet the weather forecaster
Still insists the sun will shine again.

Character of Heart

I know I will despite my challenges . I know I will finish regardless of my struggles , pain . I know I will finish against all odds . I know I will finish because of my fortitude to finish my fight , will that comes from hunger of desire of triumph .I know I will finish because I will not stop till I am finished .

Premium Member Against All Odds - July

News heard through the grapevine when a heatwave threatened July’s joy a baby girl was born against all odds (while on air Phil Collins sang to make a point) tears ran down a happy mother’s face. At last, the closure of an empty space. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

O! Human

O! Human of flesh, blood and bones,
Killing each other—for reasons only heaven knows.
Where has your humanity gone?
The idea of love, peace and fraternity—gone.
Wake up, O sleeping soul,
Enmity and bloodshed are not your goal.
You are the greatest creation of God,
So get your act together—
And prove it against all odds.

Patriot

patriots die for patriots cause
patriots duties or part of who they are
not for glory or becoming a star
they fight for what they believe in their heart
the spirit to live and create a true dream
a true patriot acts out his own theme
with his life, his will, and his prayer to God
he'll fight unto the end against all odds
