Premium Member African Dancing

Act out stories of ancestors and gods
Reciting poetry they gave us nods
Polyrhythmic drumming
Mamas are a humming
African dances will shake up your bods.

The Barrymore of Bluster

My boss believed he should be on the stage,
And each morning he’d act out on his rage.
If you’d complain or curse,
It made it that much worse,
Until they hauled him away in a cage.

Night

I have never known
The rhythm of your body
As you sleep on the
Moon of dusk. The
Notes you craft
And act out
Burn the sky.
Sweet, hypnotic
Tunes of ash
Dissolve,
As I starve
Eating desolation.

Dynamic Force of Life

Life always action
alive, physics, chemistry
body, soul, interaction.

We are this liveness,
reality without mime
we act out of necessity

to process harmony
carrying cosmic power,
exhaling all magic...!

Oh, To Feel

I wish my thoughts were tangible,
Feelings frighten my fragile heart.
My emotions eager to escape,
I'm afraid to act out of antsy impulsion.
There's a chasm in my chest so capacious,
Even my conscience stutters.

Living a Proactive Life

Always positive life

alive, physics, chemistry

body, soul, interaction.

We are this activeness,

reality without mime

we act out of necessity

to process harmony

carrying cosmic vitality,

exhaling all magic...!

Premium Member Second Life

Reality beating you down
SL allowing you to act like a clown
No recriminations
Just use your imagination

Possibilities are boundless

Act out your fantasies
There is no place for normalcy in this realm of roleplay and dreams

Shh! Shh! Shh!

Shh! Shh! Shh!

Dont wake the baby.

Shh! Shh! Shh!

Don't, you're being to loud.

Shh! Shh! Shh!

Don't stomp around.

Shh! Shh! Shh!

Don't act out.

Shh! Shh! Shh!

Wait you didn't make a sound.

Where are you?

Mommy, right behind you.

Now look who's being loud.

Unfinished

Press your back against the wall
You are lost, you are gone
You're out of solutions
Out of excuses
You are a coward
But not for long

You act out of fear
You do the bravest thing you've ever done
You do something you will regret in the end
But you do something
Don't forget, you've done something
That's the important part

Defending Green Snake

It wasn’t a green snake
That tried God’s enterprise to foil
Nor one of greenish make
That had man pushed into piteous toil.

The sun-loving green wouldn’t anything spoil,
As often it’s thinking of how to funnily coil,
This presuming to playfully act out on your very soil
While your odd animosities you oil
And not once, not twice, unnecessarily boil.

puppy licks himself all over
    kitty wrestles with a bone
a horse jumps over the moon
a cow on the range is home

a snake sits next to Miss Muffet
a spider swallows a rock whole
Little Bo Peep loses her bears
a sheep gets engaged to a foal

animals normally don't act out of character
~ we humans design wigs for baldies and barristers

It Must Be Nice

It must be nice to act out loud
And show the world of how you’re proud
Proud to live the American dream
With limitless opportunities for any esteem
Unless that esteem is made so small
By your people who wait for us all to fall
By being pressed into paper-thin size
As the cracks besides us collect our stack
You can hear the cries right before the shredded attack

He Genre Two

Where they speak
Where they compose
Where they brainstorm
Where they act out
To create
To make right
To edge perfection

Then it septed through
The murky waters of
Knowledge
Those who's and
and what's
Straighten out
the unfralls
Making way
For
Intreies
On who's mark
Starts the
Composment
Sounding out
What words meant
Ready
Ready
The intro's
Starting

Shadows

A silent dark figure
That follows you wherever you may go
Creeping silently
Diligently
Purposefully
Never wanders
Never strays

Never changing
The long dark figure
Ever following
Never leading
Engaged in a continuous march
It mirrors your every step
Movement
Breath

And yet it cannot speak
Or hear
Think
Act out movements of its very own
A mime forevermore.

The Thoughts of Your Words

The rigid walls behind
Me
Kept me in
There is no escape
From this beautiful
Place
Only your thoughts
That cant
Come out into speech
Its not like the
Beach. Where we can roam
Freely.
But where we
Have to act out
Our words
To make it all okay.
We cant say
What we need
Only because we
Cant plead
I have a million
Words piling up
But I cant share a single one

Meeting You Again

You stir your latte slowly
an old habit of yours
a delicate studied frown.

I wonder when your mannerisms
became perfectly packaged
fashion statements?
When did you turn a camera
inwards into your scripted life?
Just when did you begin
to act-out this caricature?

As you turn your spoon,
as you gather together
your carefully prepared replies,
my interest in you
flat-lines.

Honey

Friends are like honey
Straight from the hive.,
When days are not sunny,
For you, they’ll strive.

Friends are a blessing,
Straight from above.
Whether serious or messing,
They act out of love.

They’ll love you for always,
Forever’nd a day.
It takes only a spark to set a fire ablaze.

Friends are forever,
They will never part.
Forget them never,
They’ll be here in your heart.

My lair moved to human surroundings
I've tried to adjust but I'll be danged
While little people's misbehavior triggers groundings
Despite my efforts to fit in with wardrobe changed
When I act out I get hanged.

Written by Nancy Jones on August 7, 2011 between cleaning the litter box and going out for (more!) cat food.
Inspired by Francine Roberts and her contest “Hangin' in there”

Securing Your Strengths

Securing your strengths
Encased deep inside
Lift every veil
Found in yourself
Accept all the extra
Cautioning panic
Treat it with trust
Understand the menu
Affirm the plea
Laugh off the dull
Invite the alumni
Zero in on the glitz
Act out each stanza
Triple the hunt
Ignore the anti
Option the bravado
Never give up again

Premium Member Cruelty Is Insanity

Cruelty to animals is ignorance personified
A clear path can be drawn from here to cruelty to people
There is something broken about these people
Their lack of empathy and compassion is insanity at its worst.
We need to put them together in one cell
And let them act out their cruelty on each other.
Would this help them figure out empathy?
Doubtful. But it might spare others.
Both two leggeds and four-leggeds from these monsters.

Too Much Pride

When someone doesn't know you like you thought they did
All they do is act out like a kid

Truth starts to decease
Lies spread like disease

No matter how bad it gets botched
All you can do is watch

Be true and try
Don't be blue
Soon or later they were going to turn on you
Real ones never leave your side
They're there for you, not the ride
All the others can kiss your behind
All started with one person having too much pride.

Shades of Grey

Life is not always black and white
Bad decisions get in the way
It’s great if you always do what is right
You must keep temptations at bay
It will be easy when the road is bright
As you cruise along thru your day
You think all is well, then comes a plight
When you decide how you will play
To give into temptations of the night
And act out Fifty Shades of Grey?
At my age those options are out of sight
So, on the right path I will stay!

The Streetwalker

Defenceless am I
In a world without pity
Parading my shame
As I walk through the city.
An outcast am I
In my chosen life
So different from those
Who are taken to wife.
Too late to repent
I must act out the play,
Descend one step lower
With each passing day.
The stamp of my calling
Cannot be denied
Forever I’m doomed
To the trade I have plied,
And yet do I sigh
For what might have been
Had the follies of youth
Not ended the dream.

Desperation

Who do you tuen to,
When theres no one left,
No one who can help you,
Get rid of your emotional heft.

How do you know when you've had enough,
When things get a little to bad,
And a little to tough.

Then do you give in,
Then do you give up,
Then to you cry out for someone to listen.

Then do you act out,
Resorting to drastic things,
Yet you don't know what your doings mean.

It's only a desperate plea,
A plea for help,
When no one else can see.
