Before the rising sun.
On the rain-slicked city streets,

Which felt like post-Apocalypse
And I a refugee.

It isn’t very often
That Manhattan seems so stark,

The pending removal chore induces me to frown.
I’ll rake and grind many for compost next spring,
growing huge Tomatoes has always been my thing.
Rotted leaves and Epson salts make Tomatoes grow,
But before trees are naked, a killing frost must show.
