Notes About The Poem

A Better Death

“For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it’s much better to be killed by a lover.” ~ Charles Bukowski
Darkness sucked at my soul with jealousy and intense arousal. You are mine. Forever, in life or death. You shine in lifelessness as my blade sinks silver into your skin, accentuated by the red of my rage. Together, in life and death. I love you.

This is quite eerie and scary! Can it be a better way of dying, I wonder ! Some men are too selfish to think that a death through their blade is rewarding. Quite a unique take on the contest. Dear Linda, Congratulations on your great win.

Linda, congratulations on your win written from the mind of an obsessive misogynist and abuser who only understands love when they can control it. Vivid and scary. Love is not free but a prisoner of a certain kinds of madness. Powerful imagery! Blessings to you. Thank you for writing on this often hidden subject.

Hi Dave. Well first, Charles Buowski, the "laureate of American lowlife", had some intriguing views. Second, when I saw this creepy picture, the two shouted for me to write. LOL Thanks for stopping by Dave! :)

Would I be the killed or the killer? A blade to the heart. A fitting end, me thinks.

Perhaps both, eh Paul? Murder-suicide. Together, forever. Some folks are very ill. Good to see you here today. :)
