Just like leeches,
Sucking my blood,

It’s really hards,

Mangrove Jack
He might attack
Always lurking
Never twerking
Twigs in his hair
His smell everywhere
Dirt under his nails
His creepiness prevails
Mangrove Jack
He will be back…
They are vain, quarrelsome men
Bloated, opinionated,
Untidy, men cosseted
By the academic life,
The literary life—smug,
Tell you what authors are in
Or out. They know best—of course.
One does not write a poem
One lives a poem -- documents
the experience
The first mentioned
is academic
The later is respiration
I feel and the pen pronounces
I dream and words awaken
If you go fast, you go alone
If you go far, we’ll go together
