The Big Bang
The big bang,

one week ago today,

an ounce of energy degrades-

young and righteous,

a story evades-

rebounds like the waves,

a story evades,

surges and sounds like howling fangs,

a hero abstains....

Death Jones
To bespeak her time I shan’t
A mere penny possesses more value
Than that of which her presence preserves
The daring, lingering foretaste that is affinity
Though to raze all dolor she abstains
All along she had been sleeping with death...

Rain Storm In Winter
The aura of the oak
is ice and silver sheen.

This is the season of snow,
but there is only cold rain
in heavy ringlets of wet.

We feel the chill

A Winter chill pierces the heart just when its wishing for the sun’s gaze – Quote by Poet Feathery boughs of ice crusted veins Whispering across the frosty panes Chilling the yearning heart With cold that does impart Freezing reveries where warmth abstains Winter Poetry Contest - Limerick Sponsored by: Tania Kitchin December 28, 2020

Daybreak's Imploring Symphony
Sunbeams serenade my window pane
Imploring restful notes to disdain

Abridging curtain the bright melody doth strain
My top sheet covers the harmonious chain

Gilded streams strike heartier refrain
But dissonant chords cloud my brain

A glistening symphony of metric lines retrains
The cerebral rhythms course through my veins

A chorus of light waves entrancing crescendo maintains
From ingratiating pageant my body no longer abstains

Distraught and Lost
My screams are heard in the middle of the battleground—I’m fought
Now I’m in grief and I’m striving to set my mind elsewhere
But I’m frantic and lost—deeply distraught

As I’m shipped away to a far, unknown terrain
I, arduously, breathe in—there’s no one there to unwrap me
On and on, the showering chilliness—never abstains

My life ahead of me foreshadows a future…not so distant
Sending delight to my frenzied soul—there’s some light to share!
I’m found—held as a cherished infant...
