Meaningless Giving's

I never ask for anything
that I don’t need,
I never beg,
I never shout,
I never pout.

I’m like a bird
with no wings
or no rout.

Giving money,
giving clothes,
giving everything that’s around you
and the closest to you,
but far nowhere near
the thought of giving support.

The money,
the nickels,
the dimes,
all of what can’t replace time
is the opposite of believing
in a single soul.

My mindset and motivation
doesn’t always run on money,
it runs on belief
and that is what keeps my engine going
during the hard times
of the storms and the clouds.

When I’m finally ready,
I will be shinny
more than the sun
has ever shinned
in front of the crowds.

I never do ask for what I need
because God already gave me
all of what I needed
deep down in my soul,
my heart,
and all of what’s around me—

the roof over my head
and a beautiful women
to motivate me,
to keep my engine going,
and to fight for what will be
forever ours in the future
and for what all we have left
on this earth.

Premium MemberQuiet

Spring morning,
quiet. One coyote,
three deer
running in snow.

What else have I seen?
A sparrow hawk in mid-air snatch
a robin, a sharp-shinned hawk catch
a rabbit in its talons.

A deaf mute in a pear tree.
Not one wolverine
in Utah or Italy.
Nor a famous samurai.

A young black bear
traverses the lawn in August.
Also quarks. Also oaks.
Do not disturb its progress!

A red fox
alert, no limp
flows silently
across the meadow.

First light, green tea.
A person thinking
epochs and eons.
A platoon of chickadees.

The girl I use to be

To the little girl I used to be,
I should have helped you get free .

Remember those days we wanted to fall to the ground, and our hearts emotions weren’t aloud to be found.

Feeling anything at all made us look weak,
Now we’re an adult and now have all sorts of unhealthy emotional accountabilities we must seek.

I wish you could have seen that running toward adulthood was going to be we’re all the trauma and pain stood.

You acted like you had it all figured out,
In reality, over a decade later you had know clue what any of it was about.

You had the brightest light that shinned upon you, so beautiful, Naïve and innocent and you knew it too.

I’m so sorry I rushed you, and made you think you had to carry to much , as you kept quite about the uncomfortable touch.

You took all the bad and consumed it, so they didn’t have to; but let’s be honest as time went on it’s wrecked you.

I’m sorry to the girl I use to be
It’s about time your inner child is set free.

Forgetting How To Breath

Weakened by the illnesses of life my body required
assistance to breath. It progressed to the machine
totally doing all the work.

Life can wear you out to the point of a wringed out
towel at times that does not allow anymore
absorbtion. Then another has to sponge up the
moistures of your daily life.

Incredible are the healing abilities of our creative
bodies. But in the space of time lost could it be
possible to forget something one was never
taught to do?

Time to breath on my own now but strangely I needed
a reminder every couple of seconds as the machine
was slowly turned off.

And for the briefest half second there was a moment
of panic in not knowing how. But then it returned.

As the sunlight of healings clarity shinned the
appreciation of the necessity to unfold that towel, wash it, jo
hang it up to dry and dry off my daily mist of
life's responsibility's.

Valuing the ability to breath. .

We can hide from life with umbrellas
of daisies.
Walk in forests pretending we are
cute as squirrels.
But, alas we live in a real world.
You know~ the one we fly above?
Where life is all about turtledoves?
And yes,alas eternal love.

Reality smacks us in the face!
We hide from it, as if it were a
disgrace.
Fearful to pen the truth about life.
We,like pre-school children, with
shinned knees, and running noses
fying kites and kissing our muses?

We don't cry when our dolls do
break.
We do wail when loved ones turn
our carriages shake,
Best way to get attention here, is
for you to feign illness.

Aha, that magic trick children love to
play!
Then come back well..,beware the
poet turned health-snake.

Today 8

I met a new day, it had a new smile
It reached out a hand, warm and fertile
It was sculptured by pure genius,
Shinned passionate accents all the while.

Its devotion falls from a mountain height
Its swelled life spills, with such delight
I stole the melodies, it offered,
Thank you so much for the invite.

Who Shall Separate Us From the Love of Christ

Will it be from tribulation that shall cause us to separate
The stress of a situation causing us to chose such a fate
Each day brings a new trial weighing upon our shoulders
As there, just underneath, that pile of ash just smolders

Or will it be in distress that one day could take us away
Being the center of such a mess could cause us to stray
In not seeing anyway out, seeing it from your own eyes
Being so filled up with doubt you might not even realize

Or will it be in persecution, in so going about your way
It's a very slow dilution as from side to side you sway
Or Perhaps a famine, complete peril, even the sword
Don't ever let satan win by keeping you from our Lord

Keep your armor shinned and stay close to the flock
Your heart, mind and soul aligned just let him knock
Know Who you're serving and how He holds you dear
Not that we are deserving but His Message is clear

Romans 8:35 (KJV
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution,
or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?”)

Our Sun

Our love was like the sun.
It shinned for everyone to see.
Sometimes shadows tried to steal our light,
But they were nothing but shadows.
We would always come out alright.

Once more problems started,
Thunder storming us apart.
Our days became cloudy.
But we came through.
As we would always do.

Since even when we couldn’t see,
The light,
Because we were focused on the clouds,
The rain.

Deep inside of us we knew
Our light,
It was still there,
Our sun,
Our love

Premium MemberWhen Peg Laughs Like Liz

When Peg laughs like Liz
deep woman-hearted laugh
eating beef jerky on Mesa Verde

the good hearts and smarts of women
come back to me, not guessing
any better than they at the time what love

meant, leaving them behind in sandstone time
going to my own cement, sandstone
or good mountain grave

having seen the sharp-shinned and sparrow
hawk flying and at rest, not at peace,
seeking prey from a ponderosa snag.

I left my woman behind to float
alone down the long canyon for feathers
and signs, she's making camp

the moon half full, the sun half high
sky full of planets birds and stars
I look up from the rocks

elements
housekeeping, thinking
love that's learned to love

from earlier loves
laughs remembered, heard
in the laugh of the woman who is my wife.

Me I Guess

Bright and so bright as a star
Dangling in the brilliant sky
I stood staring in the sky
Stood feeling like a hero
Stood feeling like a crowned star
Stood shinning like a dynamite diamond
Stood feeling more than a hero
With a voice deep inside that cautioned;
Me me me I guess

Cryptic and crisp as the morning fresh air
Flared and fresh as blossomed white flowers
Looking sweeter than red ripe apples
I stood at the cross roads which
Overwhelmed with flying drunken engines
Feeling like a new sculptured gold gift
I stood serene as serenity
Stood waiting for my turn to turn on the road
Felt more like a princess ready to be crowned
Shinning brightly I shinned like a dynamite diamond
A deep cry in my throat said; me me me I guess.

Hazel Eyes and a Cute Smile

I met an angel today,
in the bright sunshine
as houses burnt down
and the fire department showed up to
ash and dust, rubble of the past.

She was beautiful,
with starlight Hazel eyes and
a cute smile.
Her teeth shinned bright like pearls,
her skin soft like velvet and
a beautiful figure.

The sun shined behind her
and as she smiled my heart stopped
and I fell to my knees.
She walked up to me
and she let out a hand.
I reached and she pulled me to my feet.
I pulled her close,
went in for a sweet kiss on the lips
and indeed she did not resist.

I kissed an angel with hazel eyes
and a cute smile,
I opened my eyes and found
I was looking at a ceiling
and a fan blew cool air on me
and felt around.
I was in my bed,
white sheets tangled around my feet,
a cool sweat rolled down my forehead
and I clenched at my bed sheets
and cursed the sun for ever rising
and awaking me from that beautiful encounter
of that angel with those hazel eyes
and cute smile.

Ballad of Alder

Alders sway in the wind
Like dawn of immortality destiny has grinned
Towards the unknown echoes mind has shinned
By the self connected destiny soul and expanse are twinned

Everything created has seeds of its own destruction within
That is where mistakes come from so do vices and sin
Then what is perfect philosophy and what does it mean
How can the spirit win?

The self connected destiny idea of freedom to soul is entrance
Like spring with sun has romance
The answer to meaning of life has a chance
When we look what are beyond religion with the thought disconnected from expanse

Blessed

God shinned his light
And said you will be a mother
tonight
I have a daughter that is
beautiful  and kind
I know I can call on her any
time
She is pure and honest In all
that she does
And never ask people to make
a fuss
She is there when I need her
And there when I don't
She has a heart of gold
That cannot be sold
To share the love and warmth
that comes from her heart
In all that she does we are
never really apart
She is such a blessing to have
in my life
And has never caused a days
strife
How blessed am I in so many
ways
To wake each morning and
share my days
I treasure my daughter in more
ways than one
And because of her ,I love
being a mum

Fire Escape

I escaped the dreadful gleams of radiant light
which pierced my sight with it's blazing rays
I couldn't see anything before me, it surrounded me
I saw nothing at all

So I closed my eyes to the blasting light
Which shinned down until it hurt,my thoughts
My breath, it burned I was melting away
Never to be seen again except as a
Pile of ashes and dust

But before it had touched me completley within
I found a way out of the fire
That reached every piece of me
I've ever known, until there was almost nothing left
In a moment I stepped through to the other side
Of the flames

Now I was on the outside looking in
And never was I going inside again
The fires that burn, Won't burn me no more
